Hokkaido Sushi reviews
46We both felt sick afterwards. The sushi on tge trays was room temperature. In hindsight it probably was on tge conveyer belt for too long. No recommendation.
I have ordered the salmon pack
From the takeaway counter and requested if I can eat that sushi in dining area. Though the dining area was clear. She didn’t allow/let me eat lunch inside.
We booked a booth for our son's 10th birthday. Delightful food, kids enjoyed the experience, and we were surprised with a special birthday treat. Priced very well.
Service is ordinary, staff just hanging around on their phone speaking Chinese and ignoring you.food is ok at best they have some ‘combinations’ that aren’t even sushi like Turkey and cheese? There is definitely better sushi in Hobart.
The food was pretty good and all plates cost $4.20 so it's cheap too. The hot food is delivered to you on a mini bullet train. It's super cute. Highly recommend for a casual lunch if you're in the area
Poor customer services. Even asked customers to check ‘how many plates’? Bad attitude. Food not fresh and so expensive, either. Not recommended.
Limited choices that are relatively expensive for what you get. Otherwise clean, friendly and well located.
Ok but not fantastic sushi.
Limited selection compared to what you typically get at sushi trains elsewhere. No kingfish is one glaring example.
One of the main issues is the abundance of sauce added to what are otherwise decent offerings. Chicken katsu/avocado, for example, does not need to be smothered in yellow sauce.
There’s a couple of reviews on here liking the experience to sushi in Japan. They are wildly off the mark. It doesn’t compare, but rarely do any places in Australia.
It’s a decent option for Hobart, but give other places a go.
Alwyas good value for sushi at this place and staff is always very nice. Place is very clean clean aswell
The food is really good and so is the service! But the interior requires some attention - tables and seats have seen better days, floor is a bit dirty, some wall decor would make it much nicer - it's a shame because walking past you might not want to try but the food is definitely
Hubby and I decided to try here after one of my many visits to the Rh hospital for tests. The train going around delivering the food made me smile staff are friendly and accommodating helping me choose a dish that wouldn't make me sick dye to my food restrictions. Hubby and I agree we will visit again.
Great experience. Love the sushi train that delivers your food. All food Was fresh and taste amazing.
Cheap eats Hobart, price is affordable during afternoon clearance sale. I wouldn't say their takeaway sushi rolls taste authentic but you get what you pay for. Haven't tried sushi train yet.
Worst takeaway sushi roll I've ever had, rice was so overcooked it was mush. Being on the mall they are probably not even trying. Avoid
I love the Train! So cute! They have a great selection of Sushi but they don't taste authentic. I had fun with the train but somehow wasn't satisfied with the flavour.
Wasn’t even able to eat nobody at the counter there were a few customers sitting down eating then saw the lady at the back of the restaurant sitting on her phone then walk into the kitchen. Waited 5 minutes and nobody came. Walked out not happy
Absolutely love this place! Always fresh, good value, the food is delicious and consistent.most of the staff are nice. Always my go to sushi place. Definitely recommend!
We loved this place, really easy and fun. On par with the Sush train and varied enough to be interesting. Big choice in the menu and nothing missing for us
I like the sushi but they have 0 in the way of social distancing occurring. I'm not going to be going back any time soon.
It's a fun place for socialising with friends and having a meal, although during lunch could be quite crowded and loud. (or rather not having a space at all).
Food choices are great.
Took mostly the sushi from the moving belt.
Price is quite fair.
My recommended place for 2 or more people.
