Hobart Town Tea Rooms

My club recently had a fundraiser at HTTR graciously hosted by Ron & Lilly, we all had a great day, sandwiches and cakes to die for with chocolates & other goodies, and some of the nicest tea's blended by Lilly. Highly recommend a visit or 2/3:)

Absolutely beautiful, lovely High Tea, best scones and cakes. Nice selection of teas, relaxing environment with quiet atmosphere, where you can enjoy a conversation. Would definitely recommend

Everything 5 star - warm welcome, good service, beautiful crockery food served on and the food was delicious. Scones were excellent and cakes delicious. We only had 3 days in Hobart in April and went 3 times!
Wish we had a tearoom like this in our town I’d be there twice a week. Lovely way to pamper yourself or someone else.

My go to for a lovely cake and tea but have been here many times for high tea. Love it. Best value high tea in Hobart.

Love the Hobart tea rooms, always a great experience here, bookings essential as often busy, Main cakes are excellent but the scones a little dry last time hence the 4/5 for food. Wonderful selection of teas and an excellent plunger coffee if you prefer.

Loved everything about this place - the tea was lovely, the scones were AMAZING, even the china was beautiful. A great, relaxing experience

Had a wonderful high tea, enthusiastic and warm service and delicious food. The scones are beyond fluffy and divine.

The house tea blends are quality, tried the French Earl Grey with high tea, and brought home a packet of Jasmine.

Nice ambience, pleasant hosts and a good tea menu. However, my tea was in a bag! I was expecting loose leaf tea, given the menu and quality of the crockery. A bit of a disappointment.

Lovely little tea room nestled on a busy street. Its run by a lovely husband and wife team to create a wonderful quiet space.

They blend most of the teas on site to create the perfect teas while Ron experiments with new scone recipes.

They use all Tasmanian produce to create their menu which was fantastic. The scones were very light and fluffy, teamed up with home made jams, it was delightful.

The finger sandwiches were very substantial and filling. The teas themselves were expertly blended, but the French Earl Grey was a little light for my taste.

We have been to Hobart town tea rooms twice since they opened. The tea was fabulous. The best authentic Chinese green tea, such as Ri Zhao Green tea and jasmine loose leaf tea we had in town. The exquisite tea sets and the old photos of Hobart make us feel relaxed and warm. We enjoyed the traditional scones which melted in the mouth immediately. The Macha and Date scones are a must try, very flavoursome and healthy and just spot on! Highly recommended when you are having a stroll around in the city. Good location and easy to find out. Give it a go! You won't be disappointed!

Best scones I’ve tasted! Beautiful selection of organic teas hand made with love. Will definitely come back soon and bring friends. If you’re in Hobart, it’s a must visit ️

Coming from England. This is my first high tea experience and it is excellent. Enjoying my cuppa of herbal tea called Happy Belly which make me feel very happy. Lovely staff- it hits the right spot.
