Good location if you're visiting for a day or two. Bus stop is right outside. But service was so so. They didn't vacuum or dusted during my 9-day stay. Change of linens also didn't happen. The staff don't greet you as well. I will probably stay else where next time I go to Hobart.

Right in the middle of Hobart. Walking distance to shops which is really convenient. Constitution Docks are not far either. Rooms were serviced each day with clean towels etc. A little hit and miss with some products being topped up, but not world ending stuff. Plenty of room for a family of 5 (dining table is not set up for 5 however). Car parking can be a little bit of a faff sometimes (there were days where we weren't sure we would get a park due to the numbers of cars prior to leaving in the morning) FYI if you have a large car. It's a tight fit (it says 2m max - we fitted our Patrol which came in at 2.1m). Staff at the hotel all very friendly and helpful and quite modern in appearance. Was definitely a comfortable place to stay.

An exceptional stay at the heart of Hobart! The Hobart City Apartments boasts spacious rooms that go above and beyond expectations, especially considering its central location. You'll find yourself within walking distance of the beautiful riverfront and numerous dining options.

Room 817 was a delightful surprise. Not only was it spacious, but it was also fully equipped with modern amenities including a microwave, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, array of cooking implements, bar-sized fridge, iron, ironing board, in-room safe, free wifi, and a hairdryer. The bathroom was a standout, modern and sparkling clean with a divine dual-head shower that had excellent water pressure. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a perfect night's sleep, and the block-out curtains are a thoughtful touch for those sensitive to light.

The hotel doesn't just stop at comfortable rooms; it also offers two in-house restaurants—one Malaysian and one Japanese. We indulged in the Yamashita Japanese restaurant after completing the exhausting 4-day 3 Capes Hike. The convenience and deliciousness of the food were both much appreciated.

Practicalities are also well thought out. The hotel provides a self-serve laundry in the basement car park, priced at $6 per wash and another $6 for drying, payable by credit card. Speaking of cars, the hotel also offers parking in the same basement, making it highly convenient for those who are driving.

Last but not least, the staff were friendly and accommodating. They even looked after our extra luggage while we were away on our hike, which was a huge relief.

Everything was just so easy and comfortable. I can't recommend Hobart City Apartments enough for anyone looking to have a convenient and luxurious stay in Hobart.

My partner and I had a lovely stay for a week during Dark Mofo. Staff were friendly and courteous, room was clean and well-appointed, the price very reasonable for such a central location. Would gladly stay again!

I picked this hotel as it was one of only a few in Hobart with on-site parking. Booking and check-in were hassle free, and the north-facing twin room met my expectations - freshly renovated and modern. Price was on par with other inner-city hotels and proximity to restaurants and other attractions was great.
Despite paying for parking it is non-assigned, so you might get boxed out or parked in by others.

I've stayed here before but not during my latest visit. I came to them to see if I could use their WiFi to set up my GPS for direction to the airport. This would literally take less than 10 sec. They flatly refuse to help and told me to go elsewhere. The Asian girl at reception then took it upon herself to give me a lecture that I should be more responsible for my data service. These people care more about money than other. Stay elsewhere and support people with heart.

Room was but a mere resemblance of the online pictures, the apartment was old and tired looking and had the smell of cheap carpet cleaner or something, but it was acceptable, if you’re not too fussy which I am, I initially stayed at The Luxury Collection which was amazing

Unfortunately we had to leave after the first night because the couch was so uncomfortable to sit on. But! The man at reception so was lovely and understanding and tried to get us lounge chairs in there
He said new lounges are coming and refunded the rest of our trip
If they improved their furnishings to be more comfortable it could be a nicer experience
But yes service and reception very nice

Form over function. 4 star - no way. Stylish furnishings, but in practice, it advertises as an apartment, but there is no table or chairs, the circular coffee table was too small for even two normal dinner plates, the only seating is a small daybed intended for one, set facing 90 degrees to the tv. Bar fridge only.
And be warned, a standard double room does NOT have a queen bed - I’m below average height and my feet were over the end of the bed. It’s years since even outback pubs (that we often frequent) don’t have at least queens in all rooms and most have a small table and a couple of actual chairs. They don’t hide this fact, but who would have thought double really means double in the 2020s.
Location excellent. Cleanliness average; dusting superficial, exterior of toilet bowl showing dried runs of some kind of fluid, fridge in severe need of defrosting. Maintenance average: shaving mirror light not working, wardrobe light not working, kitchenette cupboard doors marginal fit.
Would only stay here again if everything else was booked out.

The numerous 5 star reviews of this hotel make no sense at all. The lady at the front desk was lovely but it was downhill from there. The ‘penthouse’ bears no resemblance to the room advertised on the website. It is dark and grey and looks directly onto the side of the hotel next door and into the windows of the rooms next door. This view is the same from the balcony - it is really quite unpleasant and you simply wouldn’t use it. The penthouse also has an unpleasant odour and generally doesn’t feel clean. The airconditioning in the upstairs bedroom doesn’t work and apparently this is the same in all of the penthouses. There is no door to the upstairs bedroom and it is open to all noise and light from the living area. The bathrooms are relatively new but the hotel is pretty shabby and certainly not worth the hefty price tag at $670+ per night (you can do so much better elsewhere). The location is central but grimy. It would be better to find a hotel in the Salamanca area. So disappointing and I wish we hadn’t booked here for 4 nights.

Super straightforward check-in, and service has been felt but not seen which makes the stay feel less touristy.

Cleaned daily to a high standard, and no issues.

The lifts are setup a little differently with them both being independent. But clean quick and no issues.

Centrally located in the city with walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, waterfront, museums, battery point and salamanca place, the apartment was very clean. Kudos to Ping who helped us check in early and suggested some fantastic places for food.

Would not recommend, located in central Hobart but as there is not much in the cbd it is a rather inconvinent location. There is no view in the room at all which is a shame, as most hotels in Hobart had either water front or mountain view - whole point of coming to Tasmania: Service was okay but my pillow case left in the hotel was throw in the trash — which wasn’t 100% their fault but never happened to me before. Not too bad but the stay was definitely Not worth what we have paid for.

Really nice rooms, housekeeping coming through to clean rooms was a pleasant surprise, and communal laundry is very helpful for travellers. Would recommend!

Great place. The apartments had everything we needed including a small kitchen area with plates, knives etc. Rooms were nice and had all the amenities you'd expect.

Stand out was Lawrence and the team who were super friendly and helpful from the get go. Recommended a few great places to eat and things to do. Even recommended Lobster Shack for our trip out to Bicheno which went and loved.

Only thing to note is that as it's in the middle of the Hobart CBD. You will need to sort out parking. The apartments do have limited parking spaces but you will need to book in advance otherwise I'd recommend Arglye cause Sultans parking gets full quickly.

I have attended Rasti seminars online, found so many useful insights about property market, he has abounded knowledge of property market, he shared many tips what to do before putting my feet into the property market. I find his knowledge is worth considering if anyone who is beginner as well ready to buy property.

The positive: friendly and easy check in. Clear instructions to the parking. Very comfy beds, good size family room that had two double and one single bed. Good internet. Very powerful shower. Fridge, very good location, Smart TV

The average: random dining room style chairs in our room not really doing anything but taking up space.the room felt like it was under slight reno as the ceiling was one massive piece of plywood and the walls were quite scuffed/marked. Was quite noisy from the elevator

Overall it was good value and was perfect for our family’s needs. The negatives more just observations.

Hobart City Apartments is centrally located - just next to the main shopping precinct and a few minutes walk to all restaurants and cafes. Salamanca markets was a few minutes walk as well. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Great cafes and bakeries around this place. Rooms were cleaned everyday. New towels and toiletries were given everyday. We will love to come back and will recommend this lovely place to our families and friends.

Best location, easy and friendly check in. Rooms are super nice and very quiet. Only downside is the housekeeping. Also they coming through the room every day, the work they do is super poor. They make the bed, but only fix up the top blanket. The bottom sheet is always wrinkly. I don't know when they used a vacuum the last time in my room. Toilet doesn't get cleaned. It just seems like a 2min visit to the room and that's it. I wouldn't care if it is a cheap accommodation, but it's on the upper end and you can expect a top service for the money.
