Lovely atmosphere. They even gave us some extra Jalebi for dessert. Definitely recommend. Lovely family environment.

Just went here for dinner with the family. The food was genuinely not good! The chicken biriyani was inedible (hella salty). Nothing special about the curries and all tasted the same. There was also a smell of garbage that deterred our appetite. The mango lassi was super though. The lady was nice enough to offer another biriyani. Overall, would not recommend!

Delicious meal with friends this week. Attentive, friendly and efficient service. Staff made us feel so welcome, almost like family!

I had an exceptional dining experience at this restaurant, thanks in large part to the outstanding customer service provided by Deepali. Not only was the food delicious, but the staff also went the extra mile by offering complimentary dishes, making our experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this place for their fantastic food and top-notch service.

Truly authentic flavours, great service and good value. They do takeaway but we chose to eat in.

We were disappointed with the flavours of our takeaway curries. The Goan Fish curry just tasted like coconut milk and the fish was chewy, not flaky and fresh. The veggie curry was pretty good but not as delicious as we'd hoped! The highlight was the garlic cheese naan my partner had. If only the curries had more depth of flavour, as we both love Indian food.

Tremendous flavour in every bite!

Going in with kids, I requested that everything was made mild. This request can mean that a restaurant interprets that as bland food. Not here! Everything was so full of flavour AND my young kids were able to enjoy it too!

The Himalayan Vegetable Thali was wonderful to try out a few different veg options - the Saag Paneer was my favourite and Malai Kofta was my 4year olds favourite. The Kashmiri Naan was a hit with everyone too. My husband loved the Chicken Korma. The basmati rice was cooked to perfection too.

The women who work there were so friendly and welcoming as well.

Highly recommend this restaurant. They clearly do a lot of takeaway, and there are some tables inside too.

Had dinner was struggling with the Indian food here as my wife is a vegetarian the food quality, hospitality, warmth and definitely best taste of Indian food in Hobart so satisfied after having food here a must visit place if you are looking to try Indian food

Must try is DAL MAKHNI, BUTTER CHIKEN

One of the best Indian restaurants in Tasmania. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The food was delicious and they gave us so many things complimentary. Chit chatting with them felt like home.

Ordered garlic naan and butter chicken.
No garlic on the naan, the naan was very doughy. Butter chicken didn’t have much flavour. It wasn’t horrible but the flavours and the Indian experience isn’t there what so ever. Not worth the price

The Himalyan is the best places to get Indian food as it is authentic and you get to choose how special you want it and the a vegan options. The stuff are friendly.

I got a takeaway, staff were so kind, food was amazing, the best cheese garlic nan bread I have tried and the takeaway is huge! I will be back for sure!

Needed a fix of veggies and this was a feast. Garlic naan and mango lassie with a beautiful sweet syrupy dessert ball. Slept like a log with a full belly after this one and the lady I met at the counter when I went in to pick up my order was genuinely lovely and present. Another, more, again.yes

Absolutely everything on the menu is delicious ️ This is definately one of our favourite restruants in Hobart. And I have to say that their staff are just brilliant! So friendly and nothing is to much trouble. Great wine list but also have byo if that's your preference. And if you can fit it in try the desserts They are amazing! I definitely recommend.

Food was good but disappointed in the wait time and service. Ordered over the phone and was quoted a 30-40min wait. Arrived to then have to wait another 40min with no explanation for the delay.

Tasty curries with a good selection to choose from. Beef can be a bit tough/dry at times, asked for cheese and garlic naan and got given garlic naan instead. Despite this the naan is full of flavour, chicken is the way to go and medium is just the right level of heat. Would be good if they offered garlic, cheese and spinach naan though. Glad that this place is open from 4: 30pm, just perfect to place an order in time to get through traffic after work to pick up

Best Indian food I tried in Hobart. Affordable price and Great customer service. I will recommend it to anybody
