Hillcrest Tourist Park

Staff friendly but unfortunately one was very unorganised with bookings by double booking sites and booking while people were still on their sites and giving away sites that were booked and paid for
Use to love that park but new owners really need to get bookings in order

Very friendly staff great service awesome camping facilities. One stop convenience shop with large range of groceries and a great take away food menu and to top it of a service station conveniently situated at the convenience store

Should of realised how bad the takeaway fish and chips was going to be when I asked for a takeaway menu and was pointed to the chalk board. We got 2 seafood baskets that sounded reasonable for a family. Once open discovered the frozen flake pieces were less then bite size, frozen scallops small as a 10cent piece, potato cake the size of a $1dollar coin and the chips over cooked. Made a phone call and was told that's what it is.
Unfortunately for a great spot by the bay with fresh produce available every day we will not be returning or passing on any good recommendations for it. We're very happy to take our money, trying to support local hmmm

Absolutely worst powered site we have ever had, park van on slab? Never ever done this before and park car next to van, so can’t put awning out. Apparently that’s how they do it here. We have hybrid van with slide out kitchen and fridge that we couldn’t even open properly. Also the dearest at $50/ powered site. Never again for us. No other tourists vans in, I wonder why

Ordered some food and a drink from the shop, the chips were raw and the hamburger was bland and flavourless overall was $24.50 extremely overpriced and very poor quality. I went back and commented to the girl who made it, she was rude and combative with me.
Would not recommend.

I didn't stay in the park, though the cabins look great! I grabbed a burger, pie, sausage roll and chippies, everything was cooked to perfection! The beef burger with the lot was absolutely delicious and everything was reasonably priced. I'll be heading there for any takeaways in the future.

The cabins are privately owned, not owned by the caravan park.

The amenities are run on gas and we have not not run out of gas.

Good value for money, quite spot, basic cabins with everything provided, bedding, coffee, milk and soaps. Shop and servo onsite, petrol cheaper than in St Helens at the moment. Carwash also onsite. Easy to find. Was welcomed by friendly staff and other staff incounted were polite and friendly. Very happy with our stay here.

A great place for family to stay. Clean, affordable and great amenities. Friendly staff that go above and beyond. Highly recommend.

If dogs in the camp kitchen and washing dog bowls are acceptable and management know about it, toilets are not cleaned to an acceptable level, dogs barking and howling if this is your scene, OK, however I would recommend other parks in St Helens

Over priced and amenities not very good, check out the ‘Big’ branded park closer to town much better facilities and a better price!

We had 3 cabins all clean and comfortable, great fire pot and games area, good shop, fuel and good location.

Firstly when I turned up I noticed a bin outside the room. When I ooebed the lid I nearly threw up as it had something rotting in it. Tried lighting the oven only to have the cabin fill with gas. After giving up found a "how to light oven" guide in the kitchen drawers. Entrance is a disgrace. Selfish boaties block the entrance and nobody cares

This has the best thick shakes great bunch of workers friendly best hamburger and ca. Order over phone and pick up great business

Absolutely loved the Park, staff friendly, comfortable cabins, came during holidays, park was full but everything very accessible, gorgeous area. Overall Excellent. Definitely will be back, Thanks guys.

The rooms need some serious tlc and cleaning. Mould in the shower door which doesn't slide properly.

Recently took the punt on Hillcrest tourist park - (new to caravan owning.)

Paid for 2 powered sites (1 large family 6 and a toddler, 2 cars a caravan and annexe) drive around and around looking for said sites.

Residents of the park and their friends had not only took over what space was "allocated to us" but the space was tiny and located beside the laundry and the large power stand?
Aggressive dog close by, tried to chase my young daughter and I, owner no where insight.

After complaining we was able to change sites.

Games room OLD and needs a good clean and update.

Toilets and showers was Non exsistant, constantly locked or other visitors would lock the entire building for their use. I'd suggest having a bucket on hand for kids.

Young boys running the shop seemed nice. I doubt we will return anytime soon sadly, the park needs improvement.

Extremely good and helpful staff, specially the man I think his name is Graham, because we never experienced camping and we did not know how to setup the camp and he came there for the help and he spent more than one hour to setup, we were very happy, we had a good time, we will come back again next year and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Although the facility something old, but everything clean and the shower is hot and free. The price is suitable. Not far to Bay of Fire.

Could be lovely but very dirty kitchen, floors and couches. Showers also grubby. Pity as has potential.
