Stay here. This place is gorgeous.

Powered ensuite sites available which were lovely and clean, as well as a free guest laundry and BBQ area and beautifully decorated common room. Katy and Bill are lovely hosts and you can meet their donkeys and highland cows!

Stayed for a couple of nights with our van. Picture postcard setting - even got some snow which was amazing! Katy and Bill were lovely hosts. Very grateful for the en-suite. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Katy and Bill are lovely and friendly. If you prefer the four legged kind, there are more friendly faces waiting.
We stayed in the ensuite site with our motorhome. Nice and clean with fresh flowers. As a bonus there was tissues, handwash, bodywash and moisturiser. Did not expect the extras. A washing machine and dryer is available for an additional cost.
The animals are fed in the morning and visitors are welcome to come and help.
It's a beautiful spot with views of kunanyi/Mt Wellington and Mt Fields.
Would happily go back and stay.

A beautiful farmstay experience with excellent facilities and the most wholesome hosts. We stumbled across Heimat Chalets trying to find a place for our motorhome for the night; Katie & Bill were so accommodating and truly make it feel so homely. The farm itself is picturesque with gorgeous variety of animals which we got to feed up in the morning. The accomodation was excellent; clean with a great rustic vibe. Wish we could have stayed much longer. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again.

This place is amazing. Beautiful countryside. We booked the powered site for our motorhome. It has a private ensuite with it and was absolutely perfect. Katy started the fire in the common area (gorgeous timber cottage) before we arrived. Best views and Katy let us feed the alpacas with her and walked us around to meet some of their other animals. A must stay at place. Just watch coco the alpaca. He is a bit cheeky.

We stayed for 3 nights at Katie & Bill's beautiful farm with our three kids and we were totally blown away by the friendliness of the couple.

Our kids loved to explore the bush around the chalets and feed the animals. The rustic little community shed with photos telling the history of the place serves as a place to meet other visitors or maybe to play a game of cards next to the open fireplace.

It just couldn't have been better to wind down after a busy week in the city.

Our stay in the family chalet with our two kids was absolutely glorious. It well exceeded our expectations. We loved everything about the place. Coming from Sydney we were finally able to unwind. The little touches in the chalet we also enjoyed. The fruit bowl, proper milk in the fridge and the chalet warmed up for our arrival. Our kids were entertained for hours in the play ground and enjoyed seeing the highland cows and alpacas. Highly recommended.

A HUGE thank you to Katy and Bill for making our first family trip to the Derwent Valley so wonderful. Katy and Bill could not have been more hospitable, particularly with our 3 children who now want to go and live there (probably with them too)!:)
The chalets were lovely and cosy, great views, amazing sunrises and sunsets.just what the family needed to wind down and enjoy the fresh air of Tassie. We initially were only going to stay for 3 nights, extended it by another 3. I highly recommend a stay here.we will be back (soon!).

The private bathroom is very convenient. The property is well maintained. With stunning view, access to a candle light chalet and great experience with the alpacas.

Of all the places we stayed at in Tasmania, this was by far the best. Very reasonably priced, it offered everything it promised and more. Katy in particular was very personable and helpful. 5 stars hardly seems to do it justice.

Fantastic place to stay, high up in the mountains, this privately owned farmstay is amazing.
The owners make you feel extremely welcome, they have horses, donkeys, alpacas, chickens, a goat and more, most of which you can help feed in the mornings. Fantastic for children also.

It was a really awesome place to stay. We had the whole area for ourselfes. There are 2 places for campervans and 2 small houses. Your are. Located in the middle of a farm withe alpacas, donkeys and other animals around. I would definitely stay there again.
