Harbour Views

Very comfortable accommodation but a long walk to the harbour.

Harbour Views was a good sized and comfortable accommodation. It is a bit away from the town but very quiet.

The owner demanded a $50 deposit when I booked & told me the total for the one night I would be staying over the phone would be $90. I had booked a room for one (myself). When I got there, he asked where my partner was & I said that I had booked the room for 1. Then went on to charge me $95 for the room not $90. I told him that I was told over the phone that it was 90 not 95 but he demanded 95. I run a small cleaning business and this holiday was my first holiday in 4 years. He informed me he had just finished cleaning the room. I entered the room and was horrified by why I saw. Hairs - long and short ones all over the hand basin and floor. An empty shampoo sacket sitting in plain view on the vanity. I was informed that a light breakfast was included in the price. There was four pieces of bread in the fridge in a plastic bag and had not long been out of a freezer. There was no butter/magerine or toppings for the bread. There were two choices of cereal that I didn't know how long they had been sitting in their jars for. The milk were 3 x 76 mls point 1 UDL milk. My thought of Strahan is still of the awful night accommodation. I won't be back.
