Hamptons on the Bay reviews
17We had a wonderful weekend away, beautiful location with neat and well equipped cabins and some thoughtful extras. Customer service was excellent too!
Loved the view, could have used an electric blanket but loved the little luxury touches. It was great to hear the waves at night.
No WIFI, no signal, no problem!
I may never walk outside if I have signal, or I would miss such beautiful scenes!
The Milky Way was recorded by my phone cam, amazing!
Enjoy an traditional life and back to 90s, everything is worthy.
Two lovely days staying in cabin 3 which was stocked with quality products and the most magnificent views of the ever changing bay.
We could not fault any aspect of Hamptons on the bay, from communication to comfort.
We will certainly recommend to friends and family, looking foreward to our return.
This place was amazing, cosy with class! The views are sensational, the cabins are perfect, clean, and stylish. Everything here screamed the wow factor! From the large fluffy towels, too the beautiful scented body wash, shampoo and conditioner, shower caps that actually worked, comfortable beds, good quality sheets, spare pillows if needed aswell. Not to mention the awesome hot chocolate and shortbread biscuits.
We will definitely be recommending this place to anyone we know and will definitely be back next time we are in Tassie. Thank you guys for giving us the holiday we deserved and Desired!
The view is amazing. Clean rooms. A nice place if you want a quiet calm place with a beautiful view.
The view is a 5. It’s amazing in line with all the other reviews. Pods supplied did fit the coffee pod machine, no plug for the sink. The thermostat on the heater didn’t seem to work. I would definitely stay again as these issues are minor.
Obviously what draws people to this place is the view, and it did not disappoint. The view over the ocean and the Freycinet National Park beyond is breathtaking. The close proximity to the ocean and the roaring waves lapping on shore is quite mesmerising.
A couple of downsides though:
- being a self service cabin with no decent restaurant nearby (Piermont retreat is the closest but appears to be closed when were there) means you likely have do your own cooking. Swansea has one IGA but with very limited stocks so it's advisable to be better prepared with your own grocery, esp seafood, wagyu.
- no wifi or mobile coverage (i think only Telstra is working) means stays offline during your stays
- heating is probably the worst part of the stays. Only one heater and it's barely enough for the room. Just as well we were not here in winter, I'm sure i would have complained and asked for another heater. A mental note, bring your own portable heater.
Overall, an accommodation worth a 4* rating
Wonderful. Peaceful, quiet, terrific views. Going to sleep and waking up to sound of water lapping the shore was great. Cabins have sufficient room. If you want to cook may be tricky- we had pre cooked food so only had to heat up but manageable if needed. If you like quiet and beauty this is special
The highlight of our TAS holiday. The best place we stayed during the 7 days trip. If you have a big family or a group of friends, the Three Bedroom House is the perfect choice. Don't miss it! We will 100% stay here next time.
Fantastic beautiful views of the Freycinet peninsula and Schouten Is.across the Bay. Great hosts (travelled 30min to just change a light bulb). Stayed 2 nights at one of the smaller units. Kitchen bit tight but more than sufficient to cook up some lobster pasta ;)
Have stayed before and we will continue to stay there in the near future. It is awesome to say the least.
Surprised and delighted by these adorable cabins. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and absolutely stunning views from the bedroom and lounge. Also an easy distance to Swansea for yummy cafes and pizza.
Would come and stay again in a heartbeat.
Little cabin with lovely view.we didn't meet Rebecca but spoke to her couple of times on phone.she is very nice and helpful, readily picks up the phone. Thanks for great stay. Will surely come back again
We had a lovely experience here. We were arriving a bit earlier than expected and one of the managers was nice enough to drive down from the beach he was at to come give us access. As others have said, the place was spotless and cozy. Would come back if the opportunity arose.
Clean cabins with incredible views. Hosts, Chris and Kelvin, were thoughtful and accommodating. Cabin decor was nice too.
This place, so far has been one of our favourites. The guy onsite, Alvin, was friendly and helpful, great to talk to. The cabins sit at an angle to give complete privacy from one another. The view is spectacular. Going to sleep with the curtains wide open on a full moon rising and then the sunrise over the mountains and bay, breath taking. The cabins also were clean, new modern bathroom.kitchen probably needs a facelift but that's only downfall.
