Hampden at Battery Point Apartments reviews
7Disappointed this time with the quality of room, cleanliness and the sparseness of what is available in the room. Location main thing going for it but not a good idea staying for long. Had to ask for room to be cleaned, for simple things like a scourer, dish cloth and even a dustpan and broom to sweep up crumbs, all little cost but would make such a difference. Both rooms had appliance issues (dishwasher and washing machine not working). Room 110 was said to have been renovated but dirty stained carpet, springs gone in couch and patio door was very stiff to open. Again disappointed.
Good location. Apartment is well-equipped. We had ants in our bed which was very uncomfortable.
A pleasant surprise - modern, clean, spacious and has what you need for a short or even longer stay. The view to the harbour is great and the location is bang on - a few minutes' walk to Salamanca.
Pretty decent location with underground parking.
Easy walk to the city center, Salamanca district, Battery Point district or the waterfront piers.
It is located on Hampden Road, but slightly west of Sandy Beach Road so the room is quiet.driving access to the hotel is a bit of a learning curve.
Views from the room windows are either at Hampden Rd. (depending on your room) or into the parking lot for the nearby medical center. You may see the upper sections of the city's taller buildings.
We were assigned a room which had a number of issues.and in fairness, management offered us a different room after the first night.we passed on that offer because we had already unpacked, and didn't want the possibility of a whole different set of problems. The devil you know is sometimes better than the one you don't.
We had room 106.
We were only given one key.and told that the second key had gone missing long ago - but still had not been replaced. I believe that a second key was provided in the lock box but I did not look.
The bread toaster was tripping the room's main electric circuit breaker (Housekeeping gave us a functional replacement).
The WIFI connection constantly disconnected. Very frustrating.it limited my ability to plan excursions or do some work.
The downstairs air conditioning unit did not have a remote control. We had to shuttle the one available remote between upstairs and downstairs.
The upstairs sliding patio door is broken.it does not roll on the sliders. It took a strong man effort to open and close it.also the handle on the door itself is about to break off.
The bathroom vanity did not drain properly.it was mostly clogged.
The shower door leaks water on to the floor.hardware in the shower itself is worn and corroded. Not a good look.
My wife insists that some of the dishes in the room we're not clean. I take her word for it.
Carpeting is not as clean as it should be.
The king size bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Two televisions were nice to have but they often lost signal so that was sketchy.we used the USB port to view videos I put on a Flash Drive.
My rating is 2.5 out of 5
The TV's work fine that is if you want to watch them. Great spot, comfortable bed, good pressure in the shower, great restaurants down the street. Walk to CBD, street markets, harbour, park, museum. Will be back.

Nice neat rooms with a good quality bed. In a great location, just a 5 min stroll to Salamanca
