24A lovely location, good food and friendly staff. Was unable to get a cooked meal the day I visited however there was a nice selection of pies and sandwiches on hand.
Went there for lunch and the place is beautiful, clean, and full of charm. The service guy waiting the tables was so friendly and energetic, even engaging with our jokes. I was absolutely blown away.
Garlic bread was so yummy, herbed lam was perfectly cooked. Best food I've had in a very long time!
Felt so welcome the entire experience, can't wait to come back again.
Brilliant job to everyone!: D
Best feed ive had since ive been in tassy, 110percent on service.the missus even reccons we have to find our way back here before we leave. Finally found the quality food i expected coming to this amazing part of the country
Stopped in for a morning coffee on our journey south. Delicious coffee.warm fire.cosy seating!
Gorgeous pub! Lots of old pictures of Hamiltons history! Food is awesome and reasonably priced! Worth a stop in to see local history
I had a cuppa and a toastie, great coffee and such an interesting historic building. Service was great.
Visiting Tasmania in this Hamilton gost town is 6.30pm looking for a pub meal walk to this place. And we are told kitchen is close.there is a nasty grin in Tasmanians denying a service to tourists " sorry the kitchen is closed at 7pm" but it is 6.30 we responded. " No we are closed" Closed to visitors closed to the world! So frustrating!
Never open. Hamilton is dying a slow death.last Saturday at 11am l couldn't buy a bottle of anything, not water or coffee.keep driving people
Coffee shop open weekdays from 0830 and Sunday from 1000; not open Saturday. Pub open 4pm-7pm weekdays. Closed Saturday. Opening hour Sunday unclear.
The chirpy friendly barista makes a great coffee, and willing shares all her local knowledge with travellers.
Had lunch here before returning to Hobart via New Norfolk. Beautiful day to be on a motorcycle.
Charming, Cozy and Historic. Great Cafe and service. Janelle was very accommodating with our requests and took the time to talk with us about the area and our travels. The coffee and sandwiches were great. Will definitely be back with the rest of the family for our next day out.
On the way home from a delightful 3 day road trip up west, marred only by dismal coffee stops. Stopped in at the Hamilton Cafe and got great coffee AND great cake! The building also houses the pub and post office and is worth a visit for whatever reason. Bravo all!
Beautiful old building, cosy Cafe, great coffee and cakes and a really interesting and friendly owner. We enjoyed our stop over here.
A wonderful family run cafe with excellent coffee and baklava. The service is really friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stop in again.
Saturday night, heading for the pub for dinner, only to find out its closed until Monday, never heard of a put closed on a Saturday night.
Lovely little spot - convict built. Great coffee and friendly folks. Huge fireplace in the coffee shop.
Fantastic query place.bar attendant.old gentleman very friendly and informative.made us feel very welcome.second time back.a must see
Excellent. Beautiful old hotel with loads of charm. Manager spent time telling us about the history of the building and the area. We dined in the hotel in the evening following a relaxing drink. My husband commented (after having roast lamb) that it was “best pub meal I’ve ever had”. Room was comfortable and we were provided with a continental breakfast in the quaint dining room in the morning on Royal Doulton china. Great location to explore Mt Field National park the next day. Definitely recommend.
Hotel was closed but the little cafe attached was great. Good food and coffee. Open fire lots of curios.
