Grape Food and Wine Bar reviews
30This establishment is truly charming, boasting a delightful atmosphere. The service is exceptional, and the food is good quality, reasonably priced.they also have the biggest wine list and cellar I’ve ever seen so if you’re a wine lover this is probably your place. The interior provides a warm and cozy atmosphere with ample seating, and there’s also a terrace outside. I highly recommend giving it a try.if I was to eat here again, I would get the pizza. Everyone seems to have pizzas and they look amazing.
Absolutely sensational experience and service. Hats off to the bar staff that was quick, efficient, and serving with a smile.
Good friendly service. Not bad prices for Salamanca.the meal arrived in a reasonable time and was quite nice but my chips were soft and undercooked.
I would definitely give that menu another try.
I'm new to Hobart and have never seen such rude unprofessional staff and security. The security women clearly discriminate for no reason and refuse entry for anyone that appears more professional than they are. Apparently they can refuse entry based on nose shape if they want, I have pictures of them flipping the bird to patrons. Appalling
Stopped here for a glass of wine and to rest our feet after a day of walking. Had an excellent Tassie Pinot. Vibe is dark, good on a cold night.
Went here night one and absolutely loved the food, it was honestly the best food I'd had in Tasmania, walked all around Hobart night two trying to try something else to experience and ended back up here again. One of the only places that serves 3 oysters instead of 6. Staff were lovely as well.
Great by day for a feed and a sneaky lunch break with a glass or two, a night club after dark that is probably one of the most pumping in Hobart!
Enjoyed every thing about this place. Food and drinks were amazing. Atmosphere electrifying. Service exceptional
Staff were nice, but didn't seem very knowledgeable about the wine; and when the cheese board we ordered finally arrived, we got absolutely no rundown of what was on it, and if I was to guess I'd say it was two thin wedges of identical supermarket cheddar, and one of equally cheap brie.
The music was good, and the decor was cool- if we'd gone in expecting a regular pub/bar, we might have had a much better experience, but it wasn't much of a 'wine bar'!
On Wednesdays they have half price pizzas, in particular they have nice, woodfired bases that are not too heavy, and working in Salamanca my friends and I took advantage of this a lot. Sadly my lunch hours got changed (which I was already annoyed about) so I double checked when they opened, and on here it says 11.30, so despite being bothered by my earlier lunch break I took solace in that I could at least still take advantage of this premium pizza deal. However, when went I was told they open at 12, not 11.30, so am unable to take advantage of the Wednesday pizza deal, which is very sad, as I really like the pizzas. I reccomend the chicken one and the mushroom one.
Attended on a Wednesday night, wine was good, menu had lots to offer, food was amazing. Their vegan options were awesome. Customer service was okay. Would recommend the pizza, crust was really good. Overall 4 as it was well liked. No major issues.
Great lunch! Gluten free and vegan pizza was amazing. They have vegan cheese and put so much on the pizza! Don't charge much extra for vegan cheese and gluten free base is free to swap!
Can feel a bit.surgical. But good food and friendly staff. Wine selection is good enough to warrant the name.
Just had a quick Sangria or 3
It was around 4pm and pretty quite. The staff were friendly.
Normally a great local haunt, however Grape continues to break COVID-19 safety rules, whilst there are so many other venues trying to do the right thing. Plenty of people dancing last night, nothing said by management or security. Also after ordering some water for the table last night, my group were asked to leave because we "weren't drinking enough" and they "need to make money". Perhaps because they had already been fined a large amount for breaking COVID-19 safety rules? We had only been there for 45 minutes and had spent plenty of money over the bar. I was out with a group of newly 18 year olds who were trying to be responsible and take it slowly, but clearly RSA doesn't apply to this venue. Will not be visiting again.
The place and the food was good, on the other hand service vas bad, we ordered some starters and we had to wait 1 hour to get them, afterwards we ordered a pizza and after 1 more hour wait I asked the barman and the order had not been processed.
Good to sit outside in the sunshine on Salamanca Place and watch Hobart go by. Nice food with delicious chips. Good coffee.
We went there for my husband birthday it was excellent. Staffs really helpful, food was yum and the drink is good. I ordered none alcoholic drinks and the bartender make me a strawberry mocktail one that was great.
Waited 10 minutes to order a drink in the bar, then left. It wasnt busy, and 2 bar staff on, so no excuse. Basic bar staff ettiquite training needed.
Absolutely never disappoints. The menu is SO well priced compared to other similar venues in the same strip but the food is great! We visit regularly & have never had a bad dish ever.
