Gowrie Park Wilderness Village reviews
43We called up for a late minute booking and the service was fantastic. Great location between places. Showers and toilets were clean. Would definitely stay here again.
Loved the peace & quiet, access to nearby walks & attractions. The facilities were clean & comfortable. Played ping pong with grandchildren & had so much fun. We used the caravan sites.
The young woman running it while parents were away was wonderful. We had a powered site. And we Loved it.
What a lovely place to stay we stayed 2 night which was a great base for Cradle Mountain and the local area
Owners are lovely cabins have everything you need lovely location
Good central park for many walks small sites no optus mobile connection a little tired but we enjoyed our stay
Good campsite when travelling through or spending some time in the area. Small onsite shop has drinks, insect repellent and basic food items for camping.
Very friendly management and sparkling clean facilities set against the beautiful back drop of Mount Roland.
Clean organized. Met new friends. Rowing boys training camp on. Popular place. Wildlife around in park.
Such a great find on our way from west to east. Highly recommend the facilities, owners and the area was perfect - nestled in the mountains yet close to nearby areas of interest. Don’t miss this great spot in Gowrie Park!
Hidden gem! Quietly surrounded by mountain rangers, clean amenities, amazing views, our camp spot was huge on beautiful green lawn. Owners very accomodating, 40 mins from cradle at 1/3 of cost!
We stayed on a powered site for 7 days as base campsite to be able to explore surrounding, eg. Cradle mountain. Small park but all the facilities are in good condition. It’s a convenient location, central to Cradle Mountain and Walls of Jerusalem NPs, and the local towns including Sheffield, Mole Creek and Deloraine. Staff were friendly. Only downside is that they run off tank water which has to be boiled. Bargain price, actually it was cheapest place where we stayed during our Tassie trip.
Wonderful friendly staff.
Nice to have a reception that is open until 7pm out of season. Meant we didn't have to rush our day to get our pitch and it opened again at 8am.
Well stocked with food, drinks and even games.
Beautiful views around the campsite.
Hot powerful showers at $1 per 5 mins, which were most welcome after two nights of being self contained.
Powered site with drainage hole for camper. Waste disposal down the hill.
Water is untreated rain water, and showers have a brownish hue from the creek, but perfectly safe. I have sensitive skin and had no reactions!
Was a pit stop for us here after Cradle Mountain. Amenities were clean & all private. Sunsets here are beautiful. Owners on front desk were friendly.
I stayed in a cabin, they need updating, comfy bed though, with plenty of blankets. Has good facilities eg washing machines, showers for campers. Uses tank water for drinking, but needs to be boiled and other hot and cold water uses creek water. Very basic, but relatively close to cradle Mountain.
Basic, but very functional. Hot showers $1=5min. Rain water for drinking, very limited WiFi, and you will be luckly to have any phone reception. Lovely staff, no playground for kids. Close to walking tracks, and a 45km drive to cradle mountine. No shops or fuel in this town. The caravan park does sell some basic, break, milk, beer, wine. Does have some good BBQ areas and an indoor entertainment room.
My friend and I had an unexpected stay here after our car broke down on the way to Cradle Mountain. Guy helped us get to this accomodation and then Ash was super lovely and welcoming to us in a very stressful time. Simple and comfortable - thanks guys
Gowrie Park is nestled below 3 mountain peaks the highest being Mt Roland at 12oo ft good clean park with various types of accommodation and friendly welcoming owners
It is one dollar per shower of brown water, three dollars for the washing machine and one dollar for fifteen minutes of the clothes dryer.
Lady was rude and unwelcoming, wouldn't recommend making a visit!
Beautiful location but I'd probably just set up free camp 300m down the road rather than be spoken to like that again.
Fantastic place. Set right next to Mount Roland - the sun hits it in the evening and is stunning. We had a powered sight but used the facilities which were all clean and had everything you would need. Owner is lovely and really friendly.
