Gibson's Mill Apartments reviews
12Here are the pros, nice apartment with modern appliances and great location. However the stay is bad, two small windows for natural light looking at a wall. The noise is the killer, they even supply ear plugs. During the week not so bad but if you are not on the top floor br prepared for loud footsteps as it is renovated wool store with wooden floors. No point in asking to keep it down as it is not their fault. Weekend night, wow the noise from the hotel next door that has a rooftop bar open until late. So the cons outweigh the bad unfortunately especially on weekends.
Beautiful apartment, exceeded our expectations. Exactly as it appears in the promotional photos. Some really lovely small touches we weren't expecting were:
Fresh Milk
Nespresso machine & pods
Dryer (& washer)
Hair Dryer
Robes
Complimentary umbrellas
Ear plugs.
We had no problems with noise (we stayed Sunday & Monday). We knew there was no balcony or view.
It's a wonderful location close to everything, we spent plenty of time exploring Hobart on foot & using the scooters. Would have stayed longer if we were staying in the CBD. Only criticism I could possibly have was that we couldn't utilise the bedroom power points as they are so low to the ground. A power board would have solved it.
Ethan on reception was fantastic. Really great service. The apartment was nice, well equipped with everything you could need. We experienced a lot of noise off the street and with builders starting work at 0630 each morning with drilling. Quite a noisy apartment overall. Earplugs are provided.
The Gold Bar is a lovely little place with a barman who will make a cocktail to your taste. Will definitely go back when in Hobart
Super nice apartments with a loft/Modern feeling vibe. It is a prime location opposite the wharf and minutes from the CBD. The secure parking is a bit difficult and small to maneuver but makes up for in the above reasons.
The Gin bar is fabulous, serving over 100 best local and Australian Gins on the market. The staff are fabulous and the clientele enjoy academic and philosophical conversations. They also serve local beers as stubbies. Excellent
Amazing, clean and great value for money. So much is included. Kitchen, Bose sound system, great WiFi, washer and dryer. Definitely worth the stay.
For booking u have to talk to the parent company. I have left a detailed review at their parent company - The Sullivan’s Cove Apartment.
A decent place to stay with 2 bed room apartment and parking. Well equipped kitchen
. Enjoyed the stay.
No key in the package. Poor onsite parking. Not helpful enough to fix the error. Do not waste your money.
Clean place, can hear the music at the local pub, but place is double-glazed which helps. Entry to the carpark is tight & a car over 1.8mt high won't fit. We were in a Commodore & it was tricky.
Stayed here Thursday till Sunday. Excellent location, fantastic rooms, clean, modern. Loved the kitchen, we ate out a lot but there is plenty to cook with. Showers and bath both really good. Parking was a little tight but onsite. Noise was as expected, pub was rocking Friday and Saturday night however internal sliding doors on each level VERY noisy. I would definitely come again, staff were extremely helpful and it was always clean and neat.
