Giblins Reserve reviews
13Love sitting in the car reading or listening to music and watching the birds and looking at the blue water
Congratulations to the Glenorchy Council for keeping this park looking magnificent. What a beautiful outlook. Could do with some more huts. Smells a bit at low tide.
It's OK but I think there should be more stuff there for the younger kids around 2 years of age up
Easy parking close to the hut with access for prams and wheelchairs. I think there are toilets in the car park but didn't go look. Two BBQ areas either side of hut so good for big groups. The hut itself however wasn't in the best shape, scorch marks from people sitting fires, tables dented and dirty and writing on roof beams. The GCC could put a little more effort into the upkeep on these huts to encourage people in our community to use them. The area itself is nice, dog friend friendly (on lead) play equipment for kids and laws mowed recently made for a pleasant time.
Great spot to stop and have lunch and relax. Easy to get to, good parking, play equipment for the children and "interesting" water views.
One of the hidden gems of greater Hobart. On Prince of Wales Bay Giblins Reserve has a lovely outlook over the bay. It has some lovely paperbark trees to offer shade. Glenorchy City Council is about to embark on a $1.5m upgrade of the park (2020) and it is set to become a regional park that everyone in Hobart is going to check out. This is a park that you need to put on your "to visit" list.
Cool park. With most essentials. BBQ Area. Play equipment. Public Crapper. Nice water views. Boat ramp. Like a mushroom, good all rounder.
I visited it because that is where the RSLhave their momument. Very peacefull some play things for the children. Great walking area
Equipped with a few tables and chairs, a toilet block, a bbq, this is the perfect spot to have a play in the park, a picnic, to flick the frisbee, and to even shoot some hoops.
Parking is limited but it's still a nice place to hang out. You can even enjoy a nice stroll around on the paths.
Was a good park. Slide was thrilling, there was a nice bbq zone and the rocking horses were rockin’ an erratic. BUT. The magpies were very mean and the upy downy thing we’re very anticlimactic. Overall quite impressed. Would recommend to a friend.
Great place to go for a walk, play or bbq.kids love the play area and plenty of room for riding and playing.
Lovely place to sit and eat your lunch, great Park area for children, with bbq's as well as toilets.
Lovely kids playground on the banks of the River Derwent. Picnic hut with gas BBQ. Toilets nearby. Boat ramp also. Good play equipment and safe for kids of all ages.
