17 I am a little bit wary at sharing my experience.
This place is a treasure on the south coast which I would like to keep to myself.
The area at the back of the club is second to none in both the facilities and the park like grounds.
The discussions around the presence of the elusive platypus in the river, I can clarify with the wild photos I achieved.
The club is simply bricks and mortar.
The beauty and the charm comes from the people who run, and frequent the club. I wish them all the very best for the future and look forward to my next visit.
We camped here for 3 nights, saw platypus in the Creek visits from the local Ducks and one chook. Can go to the RSL for a drink. Has toilets but no shower. Not bad for $10 a night.
Welcoming and Friendly
Had a well priced glass of wine from friendly barman Sam and was quickly and efficiently served at the Keno. A pleasant couple of hours.
Best campsite! We love it here so much. Super relaxed and friendly. Lovely quiet green spot with lots of room and a pretty creek. Keep your eyes out for ducks, trout, and platypus.
Platypus Central! Walk from Bowling club to bridge on main road with a viewing platform. Saw 7 or 8 platypodes around dusk. Amazing.
Campground was spacious, clean, wood fires (optional), water tap & toilet facilities (very clean attached to club).
No meals, but drinks available at the time.
Platypus in the flowing creek nearby.
3xnights @$10pn and 4th night free!
$10 per night for self contained caravans etc. It has a clean toilet. The location is beautiful and peaceful.
Called in here to eat our picnic lunch after a morning walk. A peaceful spot alongside the rivulet, with ducks splashing in the water. A spot for low cost camping for self contained vans. This needs to go on the list.
$10pn, 4th night free - bargain! Happy hour twice per week and a beautiful setting next to creek where we saw plenty of platypus. The park close by is epic! Very well maintained and friendly locals. A great base to go visit Hartz Mountain and Hastings Caves. We stopped in for a night and ended up staying 5!
Wonderful place to camp! Very friendly managers. Across the street from the bowling club. We had a fantastic time! Highly recommend!
Friendly staff 10 bucks a night and you can have a drink at the bar and stumble back to your van
Nice camp site with facilities in friendly town of geeveston. Good spot to see platypus in the creek
They have no meals on Thursday and Friday, and the times thier is meals, it's only for a few weeks, they have no professional chef's available, could say a lot more but, if you want to come and see for yourself, pay top dollar for a meal at home is better
I was just collecting my husband, after a funeral wake. Often come down to catch up with friends on a Friday if I'm not working.
Great stop enjoyed a drink very cheap gave a donation would recommend and enjoyed the duck greeting.
Great campground for SELF CONTAINED motorhomes or caravans only. Donation appreciated. Campground has water and toilet facilities. Beautiful spot on a gently flowing creek with platypus. Meals available at club as well. Campers without being self contained asked to move on by police due to council regulations.thankfully!
Great little club. Enjoyed a Friday night meal and Thursday Bingo. Beautiful camp site for fully self contained vehicles thought unfortunately this is not adhered to. Peoples interpretation to this is very odd.
