Galley Museum reviews
39Great museum collection of West Coast history. Walk down the native tree walk includes Huon Pine, Myrtle, King Billy Pine. Across the Road is the Original Evans store which has antiques and memorabilia from past years. Enhances a wonderful walk around gistoeuc Queenstowns streets. Very enjoyable
Eclectic museum. A must to pop in and see if passing through.
The pianola evoked memories of my childhood.
Brilliant museum encompassing all aspects of West Coast history. Mining, transport, sport and every day life.
Looks more like a cramped up antique store.
Part of things on display were creepy.
Some people seemed to like it though.
A fantastic museum, which will give you a comprehensive history of the town. The entry price is very reasonable. Allow yourself at least a couple of hours to see everything.
Someone recommended this place to me so i saved it in my phone and made sure to go by when we were in queenstown.it’s HUGE and the entry fee per person is $8 i think it’s a great price considering how many things there are inside.there’s 19 rooms just upstairs alone.downstairs there’s more to explore as well.a pool table that you can play and one of my favorites was the movie room that played really nice and well done films about the west coast of Tas.def would come back!
Excellent mining museum set amongst room after room of antique items for all interests. Well run by very informative volunteers. Very much worth the visit.
Lovely museum, so many old photos and the history of the area and surrounds, so well presented.
Great value for money $5 for seniors. $6 for non seniors. Large collection of memorabilia.
From surroundings towns also. The volunteer was as you would expect knowledgeable and lovely. Highly recommended
Absolutely beautiful. $6 per adult, plenty to see. Well worth the trip and time to walk around. There were so many rooms! Highly recommend
Excellent collection of the whole of the district. Very good collection of minerals and covered the railway and Life in general during the beginning of the area.
What a place, so many displays and details. I was there by myself and I must admit I found it a little overwhelming, all that history all those lives lived. Worth a visit.
Lovely non profit museum.great selection of photos, old machineries, large preserved selection of antiques +. A must do.
Local museums aren't really my thing but it was recommended to us. There is a lot packed into the building. Lots of rooms full of memories. Helpful staff.
Busy, busy busy. Spend a day in there to absorb a mountain of information about the mining in Queenstown Tasmania.
A museum with good displays and historic photos showing the settlement history of the area. Well worth a look if you're in Zeehan
So much to see ever wallcovered with photos
And for $6.00 wellworth stopping in queenstown tassie for a short walk round the museam
The Eric Thomas Galley Museum is a fantastic museum to visit. There is a huge amount of history and information.
We went here with our children who loved it, they had a great time learning about the West Coasts wild and rugged history.
Speciality staff, knowledgeable, in tune with local history, welcoming, clean, neat, well explained displays, worth a visit
