Freycinet National Park reviews
66Vehicle one day pass cost $40 not worth compared with other famous national park ($12) And less car park space …. Less car park space! For me half day enough
Hadn't been here for years. It has changed a lot since I was a child. Plenty of good signage and facilities are well signposted.
Went to the lighthouse and it's wheelchair friendly and is well laid out with plenty of parking. Unfortunately there was a lot of cloud cover so there was no view.
There's plenty of accommodation options from basic camping to luxury.
You can go any time of the year as there's so many options. Swimming, bushwalking, relaxing whale and wildlife watching.
About 3 hours north of Hobart. Stop along the way and visit some of the wineries.
Highly recommend hiking Mt Amos to avoid the crowds and enjoy some amazing views. Amazing visitor centre store -at least compared to its Victorian counterparts. The loop around Wineglass Bay and Hazards Beach was nice too.
This national park it's amazing, you can find a normal track for general tourist and also you got the more professional track for proper people that do extensive walk and hiking.
Beautiful spot to take great pictures and also enjoy the nature
Wonderful sight to see. The Hazards Wineglass Bay walk was a brilliant walk with so much beautiful scenery and rock formation. Natures Wonder.
A special place with some good hikes for both beginners & the experienced. The beaches are are just amazing too. With Hazards Beach a couple of hours hike & the sand is amost white with electric blue & green crystal clear water on a good day
The walk to the Wine Glass lookout was moderate and the view is spectacular. The walk to the Wine Glass beach is a bit more tiring, especially on the way back when you have to do 1000 steps
I don’t think it worth to climb the wineglass lookout. Only very limited views and takes quite a lot efforts to the top. It not worth spending $40 parking fee for it if you just want to look at the wineglass bay from far away.
A challenging climb up to the Wineglass Bay lookout. The stone work along the path is fantastic. I loved the walk up more than the view at the top. You need a reasonable level of fitness but no experience in climbing. Regular runners are fine. Great experience!
A must see part of Tasmania. Rare, natural beauty that should not be missed if visiting the East Coast
Beautiful views.walking track difficulty levels are displayed in numerous locations.maintenance of tracks is extremely high.numerous tracks are suitable for mobility devices. FREE stand mounted binoculars at, at least, one location (awesome!). Oh, saw whales on each of the three days of our visit
First class park, fabulous facilities and scenery. Excellent accommodation. Treat yourself to a stay in one of the lodges.
My first time here and total taken by the rugged beauty of this park. If you are into hiking, give yourself 3 to 4 days to explore. Otherwise 2 to 3 days to take the place in and enjoy easier walks.
A great day at a great place. Carol ran the full Freycinet Track 29k while I opted for the Wineglass Bay - Hazards Beach walk 12k. Great Tasmanian icon.
Always excellent! Manicured walking tracks and the addition of a new bike track. No rubbish and lots of parking.
Loved walking the Wineglass Bay / Hazards loop again. A long time between drinks. Another picturesque, quiet and peaceful part of Tasmania.
The drive our to friendly beaches and the light house was spectacular. Just being at coles bay central and seeing the rock mountains - just lovely. Oysters are huge at restaurant. Really restfully time
Fabulous. Go to Cape Tourville and Sleepy Bay
Mount Amos walk is challenging. Do as much as you can. Loved it here
Just a snapshot of a small part of the National Park. Magnificent scenery, look up, down and to the distance, and you will see the beauty of nature in every instance.
Great walks, friendly staff-
Amazing views and space in the off season.
Bring good walking pants- a couple litres of water and your hiking heels cos it’s next level. Don’t wear denim and don’t feed the wildlife- they get LUMPY JAW and do NOT take any walking sticks from the scrub- BYO- go spend some money on a nice carbon fibre one. Taking sticks from the scrub and forest deprives native wildlife a habitat. Read more when you get there, take nothing but photos and leave nothing but footprints. 10/10
