Frankie J's reviews
12I believe the chef must have been recently transferred from serving slop at the nursing home. Could have found the same gnocchi and tinned tomato soup at Woolworths frozen food aisle and saved myself the $30 it cost. I think the pizza base was made from the Playdough summer seasons release. Tried feeding the leftovers to seagulls out the front but they flew away.
Very nice Margherita and great atmosphere! Was a bit surprised by the security who came over to check our drinks (must be tough being a security nowadays with so many additional job scope) and wasn't sure if they don't have enough bowls in store, three different staff came and asked if they can clear our bowl (that was not emptied) within 15 minutes overall it's a nice place to hang and chill W friends!
Let me tell you about my recent visit to Frankies pizza restaurant and bar. First off, the pizza was pretty darn good. I ordered the spicy pie and it definitely delivered on the heat. But what really stood out to me was the toilet placement in the restroom.
Now, I know what you're thinking - "who cares about the toilet placement? " But let me tell you, when you're experiencing a restroom emergency after eating a spicy pizza, the location of the toilet can make or break your experience. And at Frankies, they've got it just right. It's conveniently located and oh-so-comfortable, making my spicy pizza-induced emergency much more pleasant than it could have been.
But let's talk about the real stars of the show - the waitresses. These ladies are not only incredibly attractive, but also extremely distracting. I mean, how am I supposed to focus on my pizza when I'm constantly being mesmerized by their beauty? It's a real problem, folks.
All joking aside, I have to give credit where credit is due. The waitresses at Frankies are not only easy on the eyes, but also friendly and attentive. They made sure my drink was always topped off and my pizza was hot and fresh.
Overall, I had a great experience at Frankies pizza restaurant and bar. The pizza was tasty, the restroom was well-placed, and the waitresses were distractingly attractive. If you're looking for a wholesome and sarcastic dining experience, Frankies is definitely worth checking out.
Beautiful place, amazing staff, awesome food, especially for gluten free people. Love this place
Very friendly staff, happy to help us with food selection and recommendations. Pizza was incredible and the food came out very quickly. Lovely relaxing ambience inside.
I was a bit hesitant after looking at the other reviews but it absolutely delivered. Would go back for sure.
Venue ambiance, food and staff were great! Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. Partner and grabbed some dinner on a quiter night before heading to the late night penguin viewing. The half pizza/calzone was an interesting and delicious creation. Bartender was very accommodating with off menu suggestions to suit our taste perferances. The chill vibes lent itself the chance for great chats with the owner and chef, we felt very welcome thank you!
Great staff, awesome service, amazing cocktails and delicious authentic Italian food! Wouldn’t want to go anywhere else
*EDIT*
After receiving a personal phone call from the owner I'd like to add a disclaimer that this review wasn't made about 'all staff' however I don't believe further singling staff members out is appropriate.
Drinks are okay however some of* the Saturday night staff and security are rude and unprofessional. Profiling paying patrons and accusing them of things that they didn’t do. Would love to see the CCTV footage of some security guards man handling people. Also there’s a female staff member who has sense of entitlement and is so unbelievably unwelcoming and aggressive towards patrons.
I thought I'd give this place a go since it looked interesting and I'd never been. Everything from the "booking process" for our large group, to the food was rather underwhelming, I was really looking forward to the Marinara but it was not nice at all. I'd like to say that I'd give them another go and try something else on the menu but that will probably be later rather than sooner in preference to somewhere else.
Heard some live music on a Sunday afternoon coming from this place, so stuck my head in. Woodfire pizzas.yum.would be great to see more people find this gem, it really was a great way to relax on a Sunday.
The BEST authentic Italian style pizzas you’ll find on the NW Coast.
This is the type of venue that is needed to help this sleepy region move forward and catch up with what’s happening down south. Awesome atmosphere, epic music (loved Incognito tracks while I was there).
Really impressive wine & beer selection.
