Fortuna Garden Chinese Restaurant reviews
10 Ordered beef with cashew nuts as I thought, how can they mess that up.
*Absolutely disgusting*
Reheated in the microwave and then the cashew nuts thrown on top.
I had to bin the lot and then cook my own dinner.
***AVOID***
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR and DO NOT BUY HERE you will regret it, we certainly do.
We felt like Chinese and our usual store has closed so we are looking for a new shop. So we tried here and ordered a large family feed to take away, there were a couple of chicken dishes, a beef, a prawns, and a pork dish, plus spring rolls, chicken wings and rice.
Let us just say we will not be going back there again ever. We paid a lot of money for food that was disgusting and left us all feeling ill. First, they messed up our order and we had to return to the store to get the missing food. Then once home and we dished up, we found the pork was old, hard and awful, the prawns were terrible, the chicken wings were beyond horrible, the beef dish was okay and one of the chicken dishes was okay too, but only just.
The whole experience has left us feeling ill, with one person being sick a couple of hours after half eating the food. I feel crook myself as well, I am hoping I don't end up spewing.
This would be the worst Chinese takeaway experience I have ever had and there have been a few bad ones over the years.
Wonderful food and welcoming staff. Let me charge my phone too when I needed it most travelling. Thanks very much.
Wife and myself went into have dinner. Got told had to order over $50, she was tapping with her fingers on the menu showing my wife while I was in the restroom. We would have walked out only that we had been touring all day and hungry and not knowing where else to eat. Meals were very expensive, $58. For 2 small plates. I think I know why the place was empty
Quite nice meal, I asked for it spicy and it was. Bit on the expensive side but thats about right for Burnie. The veggies seem to be frozen and not fresh, bit of a let down.
The old chestnut, you cant complain about the service because there is none is true, the woman could at least have said hello and goodbye
100% not recommended. Worst food and worst customer service with worst enviornment (e.g sticky table and chair) and somehow $$$$$

On outside impressions of this restaurant it looked good. On the inside, the Chinese decorations were a nice touch. On the inside of the takeaway area, it was cold.
The service was poor, the lady was blunt at times. We had to wait quite a while for our food. The atmosphere was nice with reasonable decorations. The food was nice, quite expensive for what the food is worth.
I have never tasted better tacos in my life, sexy, stylish, the waiter that did the hand stand was the best! I think his name was poncho, going to go back and try the jacket potato
Very expensive i would say, quite rude to my colleague, definitely will not be going back
Really rude services, we should get better services with that expensive menu. We won't recommend to anyone. It was not value for money at all.
