Stayed for 2 nights with another couple/friends - fantastic stay in lovely accommodation. The forest tour we went on with Sean was a wonderful experience. As an ecologist, he is very knowledgeable about the environment he lives in, and obviously loves. Dinners were delicious - as a chef Sean served us outstanding dinners. Both Sean and Rosemary were very welcoming and friendly, and happy to make you feel part of their environment. Hope to come back and stay again one day.

This is the eco lodge to come to. Food gourme. Nature walks. Serenity at its finest. Highly recommend to stay here for more than 1 night

Great hospitality from Sean and Rosemary. Several echidnas, pademelons and ducks roam the grounds around the lodge. Sean is a great chef and creates delicious meals made from local produce for all dietary requirements. You're missing out if you stay at the lodge and don't pay for Sean to make dinner for you

One of the most informative and connecting botanical tours I’ve experienced. A very special place discovering the rainforest and landscape at the heart of Tasmania’s World Heritage listing. Not to mention the beautiful lodge and dining experience. Feel so privileged to have this experience. Make sure you include the Forest Walks Lodge on you travels. Thank you Sean and Rosemary.

Beautiful location, fabulous hosts and superb real food, sourced locally or fresh from the garden.
A wonderful place to hike in the Western Tiers using this as a base.

If you like a remote experience not too far from lovely small towns and amazing vista's, mixed with great hospitality, try this!
Close to some great trout fishing.

Stayed at Forest Walks Lodge with a group of friends. Rosemary & Sean were fabulous hosts - very knowledgeable about Tasmania and the local area. The food and accommodation were fantastic; and the sunsets over the mountains.wow!

A really wonderful 3 days spent at Forest Walk Lodge. Rosemary & Sean were amazing, knowledgeable hosts & the food they cooked was delicious & all from their garden or local producers.

Stayed here with my family for 2 nights, warm welcomes and lovely sunsets. There is zero reception so you'll have to rely on the free wifi.

Peaceful place in a valley to stay. Warm, friendly hosts. If you have dinner here your taste buds will love you for it. There is no phone reception so work can't find you and the satellite internet is just enough to Facebook. Go for a walk after dinner or before breakfast and you will come across plenty of wildlife (predominantly wallabies).

Time stands still at the forest walks lodge. The 360 views of the lush green valley flats of Jackeys Marsh and the Great Western Tiers are epic. Rosemary and Sean are lovely hosts and cook up a storm to enjoy by the fire accompanied with Tassie wines. Well worth the visit for a couple of nights and booking a forest walk to learn about the diversity of vegetation and wildlife that also call the valley home.

It's been over a year since my girlfriend and I visited Forest Walks Lodge, but the wonderful time we had has us looking forward to the next time we're back. The Lodge is a comfortable, tranquil place with lovely hosts, and the walk that we took through the nearby forest was simply spectacular. It was just the escape that we needed, and it was great to know that it was not only eco-friendly but LGBT inclusive. Looking forward to returning one day.
