Flamecake

Would recommend the Tassie scallop and marinated fish wood-fired sandwich as something unique/different from the usual market/fairground foods. You get barely any scallops, but ample salmon/rainbow trout. The bread is spread with a yummy garlic herb butter, and the wood-fired tomato chutney which is sweet and fruity like jam is a nice touch. Service seems a bit disorganised though as they made our sandwich twice and the second time they called our number we let them know that they'd already given it to us.

We booked Flamecake for our venue’s event and the food was excellent and the staff fantastic. Everyone commented on how delicious the flatbreads were. Highly recommend!

If I could give 0 stars I would.this place is awful! The guy who I assume is the owner is a piece of work who treats his staff horribly and customer's even worse. He doesn't mention any common allergens on his sandwhich menu. He refused to simply apology when his sandwich put me in hospital with sever anaphylactic shock as the menu didnt mentioning that it has a cashew spread/pesto in it. Even though a large amount of people are allergic to nuts these days and most buisnesses list exactly what is in their food if it has a common allergen.his menu is also a chalk board btw it would have taken 2 seconds to write after my experience was explained to him but no he would prefer to risk other people's lives.soild human if you ask me. Do better mate or pack it up.

Flame cake had the best food ever. I only waited a few minutes till my sandwich number was called and it tasted divine the staff at flame cake are very friendly and we had a good laugh definitely recommend this place

Wish I could give no stars to this business.
We recently visited flamecake stall at salamanca markets, we waited one hour for our two woodfire sandwiches. On top of the wait time the manager treated his young staff atroushisly in front of his customers. One particular situation I note was the manager verbally absuing a young staff member for letting the pizza stand fall on the floor from a stronge gust of wind (because apparently the kid controls mother nature). Honestly, I regret not standing up for those kids.

Best sandwiches I’ve had, delicious flavours & amazing bread combine to make the perfect sandwich. My wife and I had the mushroom and halloumi, all enjoyed it that much, I returned for a second serve. Thank you

Although the food was good, it left a foul taste in my mouth the way the owner treated his young staff, in particular in front of customers. Instead of educating them on ways to improve their performance, he just put them down and verbally abused them. The working environment was obviously very toxic and none of the young workers were half happy to be there.
The young workers did a great job in doing their best during a busy time.
The owner needs a reality check!

I can hardly believe that a place that makes pizzas this good has only a few reviews! We stumbled across this place after some retail therapy at Salamanca markets. Both my wife and me agreed it's among the best pizza we've ever had! Super thin crust, enough topping, great flavours, perfectly cooked in a woodfire oven by friendly staff. Do yourself a flavour and give them a taste test!

Absolutely terrible service at the Taste of the Huon.
The wait times were bad enough just to get a sandwhich, even though we were told 10-15 minutes, but the person who I assume is the owner and the way he spoke to his staff infront of customers was appalling. Then death staring customers who asked for a refund after waiting an hour for a sandwich and still not receiving food.
Will never attempt to buy from you in future. One star is generous.

Extremely good wood-fired pizza. We had the bacon pizza and also the salmon pizza. The pizza are flavourful and delicious. Extremely recommended.

The guys at Flamecake were great and I highly recommend them for an event. They travelled to my home and catered for 50 people bringing out a variety of delicious pizzas until everyone could eat no more. There were also vegetarian and vegan options. 5 stars!
