This is a really fun walk to do with interactive parts along the way for kids. It was raining when we visited but it just added to the lush landscape

Very nice place to have a little walk with the family. Easy to walk and the trail has proper walkways suitable for the old and young. Air was crisp and fresh making it especially enjoyable.

Went there after going to Ronny Creek and it was a delightful short walk to squeeze into the last of your visit at Cradle Mountain ️

Super easy circuit around the back of peppers lodge, a nice short stroll after a meal. Depending on time of day or whether you'll see a wombat or two on the walk. Great boardwalks are laid throughout, mossy green ground covers and towering trees

Bright green mosses blanketing the forest floor, lichen also finding home inside the darkened forest and a flowing stream to walk along.there’s fun interactive things for kids along the way.would highly recommend this walk

Our waiter at the Cradle Mountain Hotel told us this was his favourite walk, and we were not disappointed.

Such an indulgence to be forest bathing walking along a forest trail beside a gushing mountain brook throughout the walk.

Traveled from Perth, Western Australia to Tasmania and found this place quite by accident. Truly magical place, must see especially in winter. Easy walk with well marked tracks and plenty of photo opportunities.

Nice easy walk along the creek with amazing water falls and moss covered scenery make this one not to miss. Watch out for snakes in summer.

Another great short walk where you will see a great diversity of plant life and trees with another great waterfall. You may also see a wombat or a wallaby along the way or one of the many animals that live in the forest.

Lovely easy walk. Got a glimpse of a wombat.all of the paths are paved or timber platforms and all areas are flat.

Very easy, almost flat walk on well constructed boardwalks with information tunnels designed for kids.
Pencil Pines Cascades are viewed from the road-bridge at the start of this walk.
So peaceful at around midnight with a full moon as shown in this pic - check for the short star trails ;)

This is the easiest walk you will do in Cradle Mountain, but that in no way marks it down. It’s a lovely, flat 20 minute stroll through the beech forest and moss, along the river, and then back past the falls.
Great views of the forest up close, that anyone can do.

A must do walk at Cradle Mountain. The track meanders along the creek highlighting the alpine forest and includes interactive displays for the kids.

This is a great short walk, great for kids as there is a couple of little constructed tunnels for the kids to see information about the surrounding areas. Great walk for those who are a little unsteady on their feet as it is all paved. Saw some really cute animals, a number of Paddy Melons with their Joey’s.

If you only do one walk at Cradle Mountain - this is it! Beautiful magical short walk along well formed path suitable for prams and the less abled. A good mix of shaded mossy/rainforest feel and typically bush grass/plain. Perfect walk to see some wildlife - we were lucky enough to have a wombat eating right next to the path! You can walk directly from a path behind the Tavern Bar at Peppers.

Gorgeous Walk most suitable for families or elderly. Very short but still lots of wildlife to see along the way and the river is pretty.

One of the best short walks in Cradle Mountain, and very accessible. Suitable for almost every fitness level, and containing many beautiful species of plant that are iconic to the region: Pencil Pine, Pandani, Celery-Top Pine, Myrtle Beech, Button Grass, and many species of fungi and lichen. You'll hopefully see a pademelon or a wombat along the way too!

Great little walk that is super easy and would be a great introduction to bushwalking for children, yet still holds interest for adults alike
