Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden reviews
68 What a fabulous place. Wish we'd had more time.
If you're near Burnie, highly recommend. The gardens are beautiful and extensive and has a really good Cafe. We had Devonshire tea and it was yum.
Amazing location, a hidden gem in outer Burnie. So relaxing just walking around the property, platypus watching and finishing with coffee and scones.
Lovely place to visit at any time of the year; there is always something to look at.
The cafe does good soup, toast, cake and biscuits, which is all one needs to stave off the pangs of hunger.
Absoloutley love this place, it's completely magical any time of the year and we're so lucky so be close to it. The volunteers do and incredible job of maintaining and progressing the gardens, 100% reccomend to locals and definitely to tourists who may only get the once chance to visit, it's not to be missed!
Just beautiful and a peaceful environment.
Lucky enough to see the platypus and other wildlife.
Look forward to visiting in spring to see all the flowers bloom
Great selection of rhododendrons, some flowering throughout the year. Fabulous in Spring and Autumn l.
Absolutely beautiful. Hundreds of Rhododendrons and other plants. Lots of tracks taking you to different areas. There's also a cafe. Highly recommend it.
Summertime the flowers weren't out but it's still a spectacular place to meander.
Lovely staff & the best scones I've had in Tasmania
Lovely gardens, but it's a bit of a take to charge tourists full price when there was actually no Rhododendrons in flower, disappointing for people who didn't realised this, but got charged full price anyway, felt ripped off.
Loved the gardens and cherry on top were all the volunteers and staff that run the place. It had such wonder warm vibes. The playful platypus add to the charm. Will definitely visit again.
Nice garden and tree, not many flowers around only few so need more improve sign and description of plant and tree.
It's a beautiful place to visit for a picnic, or have a wedding at or just go for a walk. The staff are amazing and lovely people.
The garden is gorgeous no matter what the weather looks like on any given day. You'll be lucky if you spot any echidna or platypus.
P.s. If you spot Cheryl, try her amazing hot chocolate
What a beautiful peaceful garden. The volunteers do an amazing job, a special thank you to Rita who took us around in the golf cart. We are planning to come back in October when it is all in Bloom. Well worth a visit. Well done all who keep this looking so great
People were great and the grounds are beautifully maintained. I just wish more flowers had been in bloom.
Pleasant experience! It's not just rhododendrones, but all other plants from all over the world, lovely botanical gardens.
A wonderful garden with varieties set into differen regions of the world. Well layed out with several lakes. We were luck to see several Platypi swimming in the Japanese lake.
A very well set out garden in themes of the countries that the Rhododendron come from.
Lovely little Cafe on site
Little garden where discover new plant and part of Asians culture with this gazebo for the main countries. Very well kept by volunteers that I have to thank for this amazing job!
I have a very relaxing walk around this place, worth to spend two hours here, and the lady at tea room is so grateful and friendly?
