Great craft beer bar right in the centre of Devonport! Great selection of beers on tap that rotate regularly, but if there's nothing that takes your fancy there is a great cocktail and wine list, along with a huge selection of drinks in the fridge!

Staff are fantastic, great place to celebrate an occassion or have a quiet drink with a couple of mates. Highly recommended!

The one and only place to go for a crafty on tap! Huge range of takeaway brew options and allow you to bring your own food to enjoy!

Good atmosphere, usually good clientele. Be good if they sold a couple mainstream beers as well as the craft though!

Friendly lady at the bar and lots of drinks to choose from. Nice atmosphere, although I did find some of the drinks a bit expensive.

Nice atmosphere and not too pricey. However 'regular beer' drinkers may find it a bit hit and miss. Bar staff were a bit dismissive and condescending.

Eddy is a great bartender! Knowledgeable and friendly and glad to help with suggestions for taps, takeaway or a half nib.

While Empress is definitely one of the hottest destinations in Devonport for a great beer, both local and international, it also showcases a wide variety of Tasmanian spirits ranging from whiskey, gin and vodka.

Head in for something on tap or from the fridge, sit inside with the nice mood lighting and great tunes or park yourself outside with some mates and enjoy the weather.
