Elvenhome Farm

I just loved being here. It was magical in the springtime. Kitchen has everything you need, the bed is very comfortable.
While WiFi is provided I had no trouble with my own connection at the cottage (just a little slower) but it's easy to switch off and soak in the farm atmosphere; (lend a hand if you want to) with chooks, sheep and wildlife to entertain. I could have sat for hours just watching the birds and listening to their sounds. Fairy Wrens were my favourite.
Stargazing on a clear night was fabulous.
Lots of attractions are nearby with good country roads (a short dirt road leads to the farm on Grundys Road). Deloraine is delightful, and the heritage museum is highly recommended.

June 2022. We really enjoyed our stay here. Clean cabin, well equipped kitchen. And most of all the excellent hospitality of Graham. We were caught in the unexpected cold weather and had a blackout but Graham was over at our cabin in minutes to check on us. We had such a relaxing holiday, kids were asking when we can come back!

Beautiful biodynamic farm stay tucked away in conserved native forests and mountains. Ask Graham for the farm tour, feed the sheep and chooks, and follow the walking tracks for some stunning scenery.

Highly recommended. Beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Abundant wildlife. Lots of places to walk to and loads of photo worthy views. The hosts are welcoming, the cottage is comfortable and well designed. Easy drive to loads of destinations including Ashgrove Cheese, Anders Chocolates, Deloraine etc etc. Great to see a well established Permaculture property and its abundance. Very inspiring.
Had no issues with internet or phone reception (sadly, this is my time away to recharge).

I loved Elvenhome. Peaceful & well set up. Being on a farm guided by organic principles & sustainability just made it even better. Even saw lots of local wildlife including Potaroo & echidna. Graham is a wonderful host.

Overall a cosy and wonderful place to stay in for the short term. Only downside was the lack of WiFi and mobile network reception - good for quality family time!
