Elaia Cafe Restaurant reviews
51 Excellent, Excellent. Perfect coffee. Food exceptional. Staff and atmosphere 10/10.
Thanks very much for making us happy
Enjoyed saganaki, moussaka, chicken souvlaki, salad for days and limoncello sorbet and baklava ice cream. Would have appreciated the waitress advising salad came with meals as she gave us the impression we needed to order a separate side salad.
Just love the greek themed menu. Foid was delicious and the service faultless, professional and friendly. Consistently good all round
Absolutely delicious meals. Tasty and fresh. Very helpful with our gluten free and dairy free requirement and the service was excellent in this regard and nothing was too much trouble for our waiter. Definitely recommend! Just yum!
Excellent food and service with a nice ambience Tried the Saganaki, Moussaka and the 6 1/2 hour lamb with lemon potatoes. Delicious Greek food! Definitely recommend when in Launceston.
We had an excellent experience at Elaia for our anniversary. Great food and service was superb
We've only been here twice, both times while on holidays and once we move, we will most definitely be a regular LOL
All the food is delicious but I must say I LOVE the house made dips! The staff are friendly, happy and courteous:)
See you again soon.
Great Greek food with a good menu. Service is friendly and very helpful. As good as it gets with greek.
Had breakfast in the morning with coffee. Very busy place for a good reason. Lovely good. Please do visit and try.nice clean place.
Was a quiet night, so nice and cosy with fire on. Prefer music to be background volume. Otherwise, food was superb xx
Elaia has been around for a long time and I've had many a breakfast or lunch date there over the years. However
i hadn't dined there now in quite some time and decided to book a ladies dinner catch up for 7 people last Saturday. The menu is now Greek and what a wonderful display of Greek food it was! Everything was so flavoursome and delicious. The serving sizes were very generous too! I don't think anyone was able to eat everything off their plate. 2 of us decided to do the Greek feast $70 set menu. It was amazing! Basically we got to try a bit of everything off the menu including dessert! I would definitely recommend to give Elaia a try, even if you have been there in the past, because the new Greek menus are fantastic! I don't think there are any other places in Launceston doing Greek cuisine either so it's definitely filling a void.
Our family of four had dinner here.
We ordered the Greek feast for two and were taken for a trip to Greece. The food was delicious and authentic. The saganki (cheese wrapped in filo, I think this is what it’s called) was crisp on the outside with a soft centre drizzled with a hint of honey. Outstanding! Best feast we’ve had.
Our teens loved their meals also. Pork souvlaki and Spanakopita. Full of flavour and good size for two good eaters. They did help finish off our feast still.
If you like full flavoured fresh well cooked food you’ll love it here.
The music added to a great atmosphere.
Great service and welcoming staff in all areas.
This great little restaurant is just a stone's throw out of Launceston's CBD. The menu has undergone a bit of a revamp as we've moved out of Covid restrictions and has taken on far more of a Greek flavour. Good options though, attentive staff and pretty reasonable pricing. Amost enjoyable evening meal. Well worth the visit.
The Elaia cafe is absolutely worth going to. The service is great. The waitress can remember the order no writing down and it’s always correct. The food is fantastic. Overall a great experience. Never been let down.
One of the nice restaurants in Launceston. Food is great and staff are friendly. There is on street parking and sometimes it difficult to find a good spot. This is a busy place. Toilets are at the back of the building and you need keys from restaurant to access them. We ordered Fish & Chips, Pizza, Burger etc. Service is great and delivered on time.
We were visiting Launceston and had breakfast at Elaia's on my 8 y.o. 's birthday. We had the pork belly benedict, pancakes with bacon & maple syrup, berry compote & lemon curd pancakes - all very generous servings and yummy! Good coffee too. I passed the staff a candle to put on top of the birthday boy's brekkie and the staff came out singing happy birthday as they presented him with his (pan) cake! Totally unexpected! It made his day! Thankyou for making it an extra special experience.
Thank you to all of your staff who made our visit this morning an experience and not just a transaction. Our breakfast order wasn’t run of the mill however it was exceptional and the service was outstanding as was or meal. Thank you for also making our puppy welcome with your outside seating. Once again thank you and keep up the great work. The owners should be proud of each and every one of you. See you again soon Dave.
Great service, very friendly staff and knowledgeable re menu and drinks. Lovely surroundings. Always enjoy returning for a yummy meal.
