This was our second time using eGuide (David and team) - a no brainer because they were so friendly and professional. We arranged an unusual transfer route (to do the Walls of Jerusalem walk as part of a family trip) and they accommodated easily. Fair price, great service. The best bit was the knowledge of the local area and walks which make the long drive fly by. Highly recommend and will be using again for sure.

I've just returned from an amazing independent winter traverse of the Overland Track travelling with friends and family and owe an enormous thanks in no small part to David and Marie Hearle from eGuide, based in Sheffield Tasmania. Leading up to the walk, David provided valuable advice on logistics and options for dropping off at the start of the walk and picking up at the conclusion. Owing to severe weather conditions at the northern end of the walk, at short notice he and Marie accommodated a complete re-think (which they also provided positive feedback based on their extensive knowledge) so that we could do the walk in reverse. Their communication at all times was excellent and their pick up times as both ends was punctual. They have also offered a discount if we use them again or recommend them to friends or family. I have no hesitation in using eGuide for other walks on our tick list in Tasmania or recommending them to others doing likewise.

From the beginning of the quote request till the post-service follow up, EGuide team has been impressive and perfect in service provision. We had a short notice booking, but David could accommodate our request with no hesitation.

On the day of arrival from Melbourne by the Spirit of Tasmania, Marie came to the port in Devenport even earlier than it was requested. The car was nice, clean and comfy, and she kindly agreed to stop by a grocery shop for us to buy some essentials, even though it wasn’t on the way to our final destination (Cradle Mountain Hotel).

Her driving skills are amazing. We shared a pleasant conversation, and she kindly shared some useful tips and stories about Tasmania. Due to Marie, we felt welcomed in Tasmania.

Moreover, we had troubles getting out of Cradle Mountain to reach Launceston and David kindly offered us service at discounted price.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport by Michelle until we were dropped back in Launceston by David I could not fault this service one bit. We found the logistics to the overland hike so difficult working out how to get to the start or finish back to our car. David’s service was just what we needed and made the overland track transport so easy! We parked at lake Saint Claire where he met us at 1430 the night before our hike and drove us to Sheffield. We stayed in the motor inn for the night and then he drove us at 0730 to the start! The best part is we had our car at the end of the track and weren’t time pressured! Thanks so much for the transport:) definitely reccomend to fix all your transport issues!

We recently used David at eGuide for accommodation in Sheffield before and after walking The Overland Track. They also provided us with transportation to the start of the walk and back to Sheffield at the end. Their prices were very competitive with others and David was super responsive to emails when making the arrangements.

The accommodation at The Station House in Sheffield was excellent, worth mentioning the excellent breakfast provisions that were included.

I would highly recommend David and eGuide to anyone looking for accommodation in Sheffield and/or transportation when walking The Overland Track.

Marie was on time to pick us up and take us to WOJ and was good enough to take a short detour for us to buy some supplies in town
Car was comfortable and Marie was friendly and a great driver. She also had some helpful advice to ease my nerves about heading out into the wilderness with my daughter. Definitely recommend this service.

Transfer driver (Marie) was both friendly and informative. Car was clean and comfortable. Trip (1.5 hr) went by quickly as Marie chatted away to make it a fun trip. Booking was easy and paid cash at end of trip. Reasonable price for gas cannister and threw in a half used one as a bonus! Enjoyable way to start our trip.

Marie and David's service dropping us off and picking us up at the other end of the overland track was brilliant. They were helpful, on time and gave us great tips and advice. Very reasonably priced too.

We hiked the Walls of Jerusalem and were very pleased with eGuide. David replied quickly to email enquires and presented various options to suit our travel plans, which made organising much easier. Pick ups and drop offs were efficient and we enjoyed the informative and friendly conversations along the way (and the thoughtful complementary water after the hike as we were nearly out!). Highly recommended and we’ll definitely book again next time we hike in Tassie.

We used David and Marie’s eGuide company for both accommodation and transfers to cradle mountain from Launceston. Their accommodation in Sheffield was so delightful for the night before our OL trip and we were so impressed with the little extra touches like fresh fruit and biscuits in the apartment. We definitely want to return and utilise it again.
We also used their transfers to cradle mountain and again nothing but praise for their knowledge of the area and friendly chats during the drive.
We would definitely recommend using eGuide, they are a small company but offer a great service and value for money with discounts available.
