Echo Sugarloaf Walking Track

Lovely walk. Well signposted from the start of the walk. Lovely views, very quiet

Yes a great little walk for a half day. Great picnic spots on the top with views across to Hartz Mt and Adamsons Peak. Park at the beach and walk up the dirt road to the northern end of the beach through beach shacks and the track starts on the left. Recently upgraded with some great information along the track at various points.

Very good one lane path. Wasn't quite sure where to park but the walk up to the top of the hill provided excellent views of the bay and surrounds.

Great little walking track, gently sloping at times but an easy walk. Some great views in a couple of different areas. Took us a bit over an hour to do the loop and return to our car.

Great activity - the track starts at Randalls Bay Beach. Ascending 200m to the summit of Echo Sugarloaf with 360 views of the mountains of Southwest National Park, Huon River, D’Entrecasteaux Channel & Cygnet township. Approx 40 min each way or 4.4km return for those with a moderate level of fitness. The track leads visitors through damp gullies and tall eucalypt forests, past a natural frog pond, up into open grassy forests and then onto the ridgeline of Echo Sugarloaf with 360 views of the mountains of Southwest National Park, Huon River, D’Entrecasteaux Channel & Cygnet township. Walkers may encounter a wide range of birds, including threatened species like the swift parrot and wedge-tailed eagle, pademelons, bettongs and other marsupials like the Tasmanian devil at night. Go when there is plenty of light during the day & take the usual precautions including telling people your route & your return time, taking water, sunscreen & clothing for a change of weather.
