East Beach Tourist Park reviews
41Very welcoming. An old park but in the process of upgrading. Great position if you are going to visit the penguins, it's a short walk. 100m walk to the beach from a powered site. There are some closer, but without power.
Nice to find a park not interested in ripping off fully self contained visitors. At $15.00 for the first night and $10.00 per night thereafter, this is a great place to chill out. Set on 23 acres, the site set aside for SC vans and motorhomes is a lovely grassed area with access to the beach. Use of the dump point on-site and access to all the drinking water you can use. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. A much better option than the $15.00 per night supposed RV friendly mini Carpark behind the info centre at Georgetown down the road.
Went fishing at East Beach. Beautiful location to take the family. Public toilet's, bbq all good.
Very friendly owners. Good price, discounted to $30 per night per van for group of 3 vans. Flexible and accommodating allowing vans to arrange in a circular cluster. Quiet private location with ocean waves in the background. Terrific tree carvings arranged as a sailing boat and eagles.
The amenities weren't modern but they were good. The 2 camp kitchens were a great help. The one closest to the laundry and cabins could be a bit warmer if they had a curtain on the large window. I loved it here because I could hear the surf from East Beach. An easy walk to the beach lookout too! Great quiet spot to rest up.
Very friendly owners who greet you at the gate pretty much. Lovely location but the cabin wasn't the best.
It has a huge hospital style bathroom which had an awful smell and takes up over a quarter of the space of the cabin. We found that to be really weird for a holiday cabin. Barely any hot water, no pressure and not hot enough. No cooking facility in room only a microwave and a billion ants. One arm chair covered with dirty material. Metal ceilings with ugly light bulbs sticking out. Needs a real spruce up! And air fresheners at the very least would be a plus.
Cabins are too close to each other with no real view.
Won't be going back there.
Very pretty spot. Host was fantastic and very friendly. 2min walk to the beach which is beautiful. Clean amenities.
I would give it 4 out of five.very helpful and friendly owner gave us a discount for staying two nights lots of hot water in the showers good camp kitchen all in all agreat experience.
Great place to stay at very good rates. Facilities older but in very good condition. Best part of stay are the managers who are kind, friendly and informative, we felt very welcome. Beach is very interesting
Stayed here last week, lovely, peaceful well maintained park. Easy access to the nearby beach and great bike track into town centre. Managers were very accommodating and friendly. Will certainly be visiting again.
Great friendly park. Management could not be more helpful. Has a sort of an old fashioned school camp feel. Thanks for accommodating us
Really enjoyed our stay. The carvings out the front are great. The owners were terrific and very helpful with any questions and for anything we needed during our stay. The amenities are a little dated but in a rustic kind of style. We would stay here again.
Fantastic camping next to beautiful beaches and historic township. Relaxing and easy! Friendly and helpful hosts.
Great spot to park up and reset the van. Beach is great and a large sand dune not too far down the beach for a great view. Owners are very welcoming)
In the process of rejuvenating this park the current owner is improving a previously tired park.great location and clean facilities and very helpful lady on the desk who was very patient with me finding my ideal spot. (partner of the owner)
Genuinely friendly staff, great camp grounds, fall asleep listening to the ocean and absolutely no traffic and a great camp kitchen with best prices in Tasmania
Great campsite - right next to the beach, facilities were clean and Alan was very friendly. Good price, cheaper than most campsites we’ve stayed at in Tasmania. We really enjoyed our stay here
Lovely 'old school' camp.right on the beach with lots of quiet space.comfortable amenities.hot showers.camp kitchen.all you need.plus.a fantastic library. Thanks, Daniel for your prompt and friendly service.thanks too, to Eddie.we'll be back. ️️
We had iced coffee's and lovely home made biscuits. Definitely back to try more food they have to offer
This place is a rip off for the price charged. $45 for pwd site for 2 people. Bloke beside me $35 for one pers? Does this mean it would be $75 for 5 pers. It has nothing.
