Discovery Parks - Hobart reviews
57 Clean and tiny but very tiny spaces particularly bunk beds, felt very cramped. Big disappointment for me
The BBQ common place was hit with our family though
Nice big cabin park. Good for kids. No linen for a week. Broken door. Uncomfortable bed. Cabin good for 2 not 6.
Beautiful cosy cabins, so clean and friendly staff. Best night sleep. Would 10/10 recommend to family and friends.
Great place to stay. Clan and tidy. Quite quiet. Rural feel. Central to Northern suburbs. Quick access to Hobart.
Loved it!
We were a issue due to being loud at the start. Staff were polite and kindly advised us.
There's a jumping pillow and a kids putt putt. Good fun. BBQ area was clean with tv and drink vending machine. At reception they have the basics that could be forgotten. (Milk for us). Some cabins are pet friendly (check with booking). There is an oasis and bottle shop about 200 m down road. Off the highway still.
They have alot of staff which keep the place clean but felt I couldn't open curtains without catching a working staring through the cabin windows.
Cabins are clean, compact and we were able to fit 3 kids/2 adults/1 dog for 2 nights comfortably.
Large rubbish bins are close to cabins, making it easier to not fill the bins inside.
Overall great experience, will be back in the future and warmer months.
Clean facilities. Ensuite was amazing. Good location. Was in motorhome and Tap, power, and waste water all very close and easy
Excellent staff.clean cabins. A great place for the kids with the putt putt golf and jumping pillow.and just a hop skip and a jump to Hobart.
Afforfable accomdation, To suit all travellers, children's playground, BBQ facilities, Powered sites. Would reccommend
Not acceptable.
Long read but in total they will stuff you around and not care.
Booked a month in advance for the ‘last one’ of their pet friendly cabins with a supposed yard. Made a deposit over the phone and never got a receipt of confirmation. A few weeks late I call up and ask, they say one will come later. The night before my stay I noticed another email said ‘accomodation: powered site’? !? !
Called that night, they were closed. That morning I called and ‘oh someone’s moved your booking to a site, there’s nothing we can do, some have booked months in advance’ ‘we’re going you a huge favour and let you use a balcony cabin in place’ I never wanted that to begin with! ‘oh and you’ll get a whopping 10$ off your stay, so pay up! ’
Upon arrival they were closed and our cabin had no balcony or yard. Fridge was left on freezer mode so all our food was ruined. Bed was hard.
The manager knew I was upset and upon check out acted like everything was fantastic. Well I wanted a refund. You guys ruined my holiday.
Can't recommend the cabins here highly enough. It's like a home away from home.even has its own washing machine. The cabin was very clean and even had a welcome note on arrival from Amy showing date the cabin had been cleaned. Very nice helpful lady on reception as well.
Cabin has lovely little patio to sit outside and plenty of room inside. There's some road noise but we couldn't hear it inside the cabin. Pub next door so not far to walk for dinner. Would most definitely stay here again!

Thank you for having us in your park! Tegan in the office was absolutely lovely and made our booking and stay so easy. Clean cabin, all the facilities we needed. Will stay again when we come back. Thank you!
We had a lovely time in our pet friendly cabin, the staff were friendly and helpful. The cabins were clean and tidy. It's nice that there are places for people who drive with there dogs, (not caravanning).
Very friendly & helpful staff.
Very clean Laundry & Camp kitchen.
We stayed on a caravan site with ensuite.
Last breakfast on our holiday around Tassie. Sitting at the outdoor breakfast bar at the camp kitchen thinking about what an awesome trip we have been on. Out of all the places we have stayed, this one wins hands down for customer service, amenities (hot water, with pressure, un-timed wins for my 18yo son - camp kitchen/BBQ area great too!), easy to commute with buses into city and a great pub for dinner next door too.
We are very happy with our stay. Great holiday park with lots of facilities. It has hot shower, camp kitchen and kids play ground.
Lovely team of people.nothing is too much trouble.oasis pub just down the driveway.ensuites were clean with great water pressure and hot water. Cabins were lovely and private for a bit more luxury. We will definitely be back
May as well park in a gravel carpark down the road. At least then you might get the wifi and some peace and quiet. Stopped here to power up and check emails. Wifi will not work up the back for powered campervan sites. Coupled with the redneck family yelling at their kids constantly, this place is the worst.
Great stay.quite and only 10km to hobart cbd and its affordable friendly staff at the reception too
Good area to base yourself to see the sites of Hobart. Staff were very helpful with destinations to visit.
Cabins are clean and have everything you need.
Only issues we had was the double bed was sunken in the middle and extremely uncomfortable, and the shower head leaks.
Booked under my partners surname of Buckley and only was brought to our attention today that we should of used a code TASEFTPOS when booking 3 or more nights in a cabin to have a $50 eftpos card sent to us. Shame we weren't made aware of this. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.
