Derwent Distillery

As a proud Tasmanian, I wanted to share this delicious gin as part of a special gift to a friend up here in Queensland. Emma not only answered my question in lightening speed, but had my order to the post office within 2 hours. Amazing gin & equally as amazing customer service. Thank you Emma (& Robbie) for both!

The last sanctuary is one of my favourite Gins. I also tried their Elder Flower Liqueur in a cocktail recently and it was delicious! I love that it is a small family-run business & they even forage for the botanicals used within their products where the distillery is located. Highly recommend.

Excellent little Distillery with a great outlook over the Derwent River. Robbie and Emma were fantastic hosts telling us all about the processes used. Then we had some fantastic whisky to top off a great afternoon. Definitely hoping to get back there again!

Three of us visited The Derwent Distillery this week and very much enjoyed our time there. Our guide Tiffany showed us around the new distillery and took us through the available range of (very nice) drams. Just had to purchase a bottle of the new release. We also learned about their sustainability initiatives and admirable conservation commitments. Highly recommend a visit, but watch for the distillery access point from the road; it can be elusive.
