Derwent Bar reviews
13Fabulous lobster mornay (half the price, bigger & tastier than the same at Mures!) & great wine from Longford
When in Hobart, this is a must go to! Situated in the perfect location, right between Salamanca and Constitution Dock it is an easy place to eat and drink the afternoon away with old town pub vibes! The staff are so friendly and have lots of suggestions of where to go and what to see whilst you're in Hobart! Highly recommend!
Staff were brilliant, always happy, friendly and full of siggestions for places tourists should visit.
Great little pub to visit. Sat outside with the heaters on, which was cosy.
Had the Wallaby schnitzel there a couple of times and it was yummy.
Amazing Waterfront Bar in the Heart of Hobart. Great atmosphere, and DELICIOUS nibblies/ meals. Will 100% be returning to The Derwent Bar on our next trip.
Nice little front bar of the hotel we were staying at, lots of Hobart sailing race memorabilia, good bar selection and friendly service, good place for a few drinks.
I can only speak as l find.last year a small group of us thoroughly enjoyed a Scallop fest meal which includes soup and a drink. However, last week we had exactly the same meal.what a difference, scallops were so small and covered in overcooked breadcrumbs, the chips were overcooked and tough and oily. I won't speak for everyone but all the plates looked the same. Disappointing to say the least, at 42 dollars per head l am sorry but l won't be doing it again.
Tried wallaby schnitzel for the first time here - was totally delicious. My partner enjoyed the parmi. Beers on tap, Would love to see more Tassie wines on the list. Great service, will definitely go back.
Great pub and the staff are really friendly. Great location for a drink, food and watch the world walk pass. Best pub in Hobart
A beautiful part of Tasmania, historic buildings and history of the former convict settlement.
Food was quite good - same quality as the restaurant but smaller menu. The Scallop Feast was still available here. Service was OK but got the feeling he didn't care if he was there or not.
Warm and busy on a Wednesday night. The crumbed scallops were a bit disappointing but the Last Rites XPA on tap was delicious and service was prompt/friendly
Steaks were cooked to perfection, price was very reasonable and portion size was more than sufficient
