Derby Digs Cottage Accommodation

Sorry to express this but after our first delight with the Barn. We found it not IMPECCbly clean as listed.the hand basin and shower were clogged with hair and black gunge.mouse droppings in a cupboard.dead flies littered window sills and room corners with dust.kitchen floor was not washed as muddy fit prints on tiles by ranchslider. I shook both doormats and swept outside on arrival.ended up coated in dust from the mats. HOWEVER it is, well equipped and a great view from the deck.spoke to the owner about these issues and he reimbursed the cleaning fee which is not enough to wash sheets and vkean a house properly.maybe it had been empty some time before we srrived

We booked all 3 of their Digs accommodation options (Cottage, Barn and Cabin) for our big group for an event. It was great to just deal with one person to accommodate so many people and have them all right there next to each other. It looks right over the shuttle load area. Couldn't get a more prime location. Larry the owner is wonderful to deal with.

Very comfortable and modern/clean - made for an enjoyable stay. The location of the properties is particularly good with an easy walk to the main street attractions and a fantastic view off either deck area. Thank you.

My son and I spent 6 nights at the Derby Digs Barn recently on a mountain bike trip, what a great choice! It's located about as close to the action as you can get and is very well appointed with everything you would need, both for riding (tools / workstand / bikewash etc) through to kicking back on the large deck overlooking the lake and mtb trail exits. We are already talking about a return visit. We also stayed at the sister accommodation in Maydena (Schoolmasters Digs) which was equally as impressive.

We recently stayed at the Derby Barn over Christmas and WOW we were blown away. The kitchen and facilities were well appointed with loads of extras making us feel very at home during our stay. Having the mud room for safe storage of bikes was also an attraction for us.location was also a plus overlooking the trail head and the pump track the accommodation suited the riders and non riders. The Digs was impeccably clean and is the best accommodation we have stayed in over about half a dozen trips now. Great spaces and amenity.

It was fantastic. We loved the house, it had everything we needed, was very clean, great deck and the fire was so cozy. Location was brilliant for biking. We'd stay at Derby Digs again and would recommend it to friends.

Fantastic property for large or small groups nestled a perfect location in Derby. Walking distance to both shops and bike tracks. The deck overlooks the bike track, river, and mountains and is the perfect place to relax after a day hitting the trails. We will definitely stay here next time we return to Derby.

Great location, spacious and super practical for getting lots of riding in. Good locked shed and top notch bike washing facilities. Also good laundry and bathroom for washing muddy bodies! We had a lovely fire outside one night. Best bit is that you can watch the kids at the pump track from the deck and they are in earshot so you can call them back for dinner.

Have stayed at several different places in Derby and this is our favourite so far. Clean, tidy and modern with a great lounge and deck area. Walking distance to eating and drinking venues.

Amazing spot right in the centre of town, overlooking Mt bike trail head. The house is clean, tidy and modern. Accomodation set up for Mt biking in every aspect, bike wash, bike storage and we parked 2 vans and truck with ease. Larry the owner made the trip a breeze for us coming from NZ. Will stay again!

You guys provided exactly what i needed.
Chill place to relax after a good bike.when we came to Derby Digs Barn, every thing was super clean and all the wood was chopped and ready to burn and stay warm:)
will recommend to any bike rider or just chiller that looking for a place

Beautiful property set in beautiful landscape. Gorgeous rustic chic decor with fireplace, comfy furniture and picturesque deck. Smaller details such as a fully set up kitchen, heated towel rails and plenty of heating were a plus. We loved our family weekend there and I’d love to return for a girls’ getaway.

What a location! We enjoyed our stay & would love to come back here. The accommodation was clean and tidy and spacious. Perfect place for families. Would highly recommend this place, Larry was so friendly and went out of his way to make our stay memorable.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Great location in the quaint town of Derby with all amenities a mountain biker could ever ask for. Can't wait to bring my friends back!

Fantastic stay! The house has amazing facilities and is located right next to the start of the trail. Larry and Cheryl were so accomodating and I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend!
