54We stopped here for lunch on our way through to Cradle Mountain. The hotel was very quiet. Service was friendly and prompt. Salmon was nice but a bit too pricey at $36

+ Bar below if you want to socialise
washing machine & tumble dryer $2 each
Single room with shared facilities $55. Absolute bargin. Room and shower area spotless. Good food, staff and cold beer. What more could you want?
Room very basic but Neat and clean. Bed comfy. Window had screen torn away and being 3 stories up with bed under the window was a worry along with the back stairs exit the porch is rotten which was dangerous. I'd hate to have a number of people need to get out in a hurry.
The restaurant was nice and food beautiful
food was bea
You can see into the kitchen from parts of the restaurant, so watching the chef use his bare hand to grab cooked pasta to prepare was gross, especially after seeing him use said hand on his drink bottle which just came back from the main bar and sat on his prep area. Pretty grotty.
I have stayed here several times.rooms are economical, kitchen area, for guests to use and lounge.lovely verandah.train at night a bit noisy
Great value accommodation! If you need an overnight stay and are just passing through, this is an excellent stop over. Remodelled bathrooms and great
I enjoyed the beer battered local fish with steamed vegetables and made smooth with a local glass of Sauvignon blanc, tasty, beautifully cooked. The staff were great, polite, helpful, professional, all with a smile. I explored the balcony space, which overlooks the train park and platypus walk, loved it all.
My husband and I had a lovely experience. Staff went above and beyond to be helpful. The communal space was a surprising delight. Would recommend for a short or long stay.
Just picked up a pizza ordered for 6: 30pm as was told there was a wait so ordered ahead for a time.stone f'in cold and i took a bite within 2 minutes of grabbing it.very poor! Will ask for it to be hot next time and check if i ever return.
Food Only.
Party of 5 had very ordinary food. Fish was under cooked gravy was cold (asked for it to be heated) came back the same. Won't eat there again
Reasonable sized room for the standard of stars. Friendly staff around. Guest laundry payable by coins which bar staff can exchange for you.
Bed comfortable and the room is warm.
Shared lounge facilities.
Shower was spacious but the door wouldn't shut. Good rain maker shower head dispursing a good pressure of water.
No chair, no wardrobe making it more ideal for overnight accommodation.
Good walking distance to other areas of town.
Parking at the rear.
A great place to spend the night, good restaurant, warm bar, and plenty of hot water. A great bushwalking base for the region.
We had a large group attend for Saturday night dinner very efficient ordering of the whole group and entrees were on the table quickly soon after that every main meal was served to the group of 20 and the meals were excellent in every way.great service that you couldn't fault

We really enjoyed the twice cooked pork belly (with crackling) and chilli chorizo and prawn pasta. The service was friendly, attentive and fast. Glad we stopped for lunch and we'll be back to sample more of the menu. Thanks guys!
We had a 2 night stop over at this big beautiful hotel. Our ensuite room was lovely, clean and tidy. The food there was delish.
However, the second night we arrived back late and couldn't get in. Others thankfully let us in, only to find we couldn't get into our either. We slept the night in there guest lounge room. Very uncomfortable and cold.
The staff did offer a refund and told us they're having trouble with the swipe keys.
No expectations and WOW a great surprise, the lady who served our table was lovely, the chef wonderful - a roast confit duck with Orange jus in wonderful buttery mash and steamed broccoli you can see this guy loves food!
Went here for lunch and ordered the scotch fillet. Cooked well and was huge (although relatively steep for a pub meal $42). Chips were delicious and cooked to perfection! The pub was quiet when we got there but had a few more groups join on the terrace by the time we had finished our meal.
Great for travelers with Bikes and motorcycles as they have a big secure shed where you can store you machines overnight.
That’s not to mention the great rooms and bathrooms which are spotless.
The scotch fillet and garlic pizza are to die for absolutely delicious nice little pub with a great outdoor area
