Lovely place for those who seek peace and nature. Great large cabins with everything you need for cooking and relaxing.
All is there but don't expect Wifi

I actually stayed here in April 2021 and the onsite managers were fantastic. Could not be more helpful and switched on. They had the best stories of the history of the area which rivalled any tour I have ever been on. Cabin was super clean and well equipped. I extended my stay.

We stayed for a weekend trip in the summer and it was great. We loved the secluded cabin, being able to cook our own meals, the views, wildlife, and hikes in the area. It was a bit of a rough drive from Hobart on the one gravel road, but easy to get to otherwise. They are not close to any shops, so stop and buy what you need from the store (including bottle shop) before you get there and you'll be all set. We even loved the eco friendliness of recycling rainwater and free laundry. We will definitely visit again!

A very special spot, beautifully set up and a wonderful spot to stay to get away from people. I woke up to birdsong, wallabies and wombats every morning. I absolutely adored my stay. Thank you and I wish you many years of happiness!

Extremely peaceful, two wombats outside our balcony at dusk. We could see them and quietly walked to the grass and watched them for 30 min. Tasmanian highlight

Came for 2 nights, stayed for 5. One of the most peaceful camps we have found in Australia. New managers Craig and Debbie doing a great job and are very mindful of keeping the ambience that this camp has, while growing sufficiently to make it sustainable and to fund infrastructure improvements. Good luck Craig and Debbie and we look forward to visiting again.

My partner and I stayed at Craggy Peaks for a number of nights back in the middle of July this year. During our booking, we made a couple of special requests which the polite and friendly staff were more than happy to help us out with - we thought this was very kind of them, and it made a great first impression on us!

We stayed in the cosy Platypus cabin and were extremely pleased with it. We really liked its: location; view; privacy; cosiness; modern interior and furnishings; overall cleanliness; and its heat pump which was really strong and came in handy given how cold it was during our stay.

The entire property was also beautiful, and although the old golf course is not in full swing these days (pun intended!), it was great to walk around it and to take out some of the many available golf clubs and golf balls to have a hit just for fun. In addition to the many golf clubs and golf balls, the staff also made available some frisbees and other balls for recreation. Furthermore, there were also the following: a little putting area for children and adults; a pretty dam; an old treehouse with a tire swing; a large sheltered barbeque area; and an open fire pit down by one of the many beautiful creeks on the property. We also found out that one of the slopes is sprayed down with water during the colder months of the year so that people can ski, skate, and slide down it!

The staff also recommended a stunning and private little bushwalk around the foot of Ben Lomond National Park - which they provided their own cute little map for! This little bushwalk went around the entire large property, along two creeks (Mistletoe Creek and Aberfoyle Creek), and across the little mountain in front of all the cabins. The whole little bushwalk was gorgeous as it really captured so much of Tasmania's beautiful flora and fauna whilst providing breathtaking views from the top which extended all the way down through the nearby valley. If you get a chance to do this walk - it takes about three hours at a moderate pace and with a stop for lunch - then we would both highly recommend it in addition to having a stickybeak around the historic mining town of Rossarden and the main old tin mine itself (be very careful though!).

We would like to thank the two wonderful staff and wish them, and the owners of Craggy Peaks, all the very best with their future endeavours. Furthermore, we would also like to let you know that we have both recommended that our families and friends come and stay at your brilliant accommodation - we will both definitely be back again as well!

Overall, my partner and I had a truly lovely, wonderful, and memorable stay at Craggy Peaks that we will both look back on very fondly and cherish forever.

Great isolated location for an escape. The accommodation was spotless and very efficiently laid out. The kitchen runs off gass which is amazing to cook on. Tank water for the bathrooms, perfect pressure and no run low issues (be considerate to reserve water).
The staff were fantastic and always keen to help out. A pleasure to interact with.
There is also a beautiful very easy walk onsite.
The main big draw was that we were able to bring our dog along with us and he was able to sleep inside.
Just remember to keep pets off the bed and on a lead at all times when outdoors.also no leaving the pets alone, but that was easy.

Remember this is very isolated so you will have to bring all needed food with you. Closest small supermarket stop would be 40min away.

Absolutely gorgeous place amongst nature. If you love the outdoors, this place is for you. Lots of great walks close to the area. The cabins are clean and modern. The kitchen is well equipped. The guys running the place are very helpful. Will definitely be back in the winter.

PS this can’t be said enough but avoid driving when dark.

Totally gorgeous place, best views and superhosts. Will stay again with anticipation.
Have stayed again, and had an even better time of it knowing what to expect. The view of sunrise of Sphinx Bluff is worth it alone. I'd give Craggy Peaks another star if I was allowed. Easy access to the place, very individual parking for each cabin, very clean and everything I needed. Left this morning fully rested and happy.

The cabins are really a cut above the usual, and the views through floor-to-ceiling glass are fantastic! And good prices.
