Country Club Hotel

Part of the historic Longford racing folklore, a must visit pub for any visiting petrol heads! Good food, cold beer and a car & bike racing history lesson to boot!

The hotel with a racing car in the front window & racing memorabilia in the dining room. Parmi night Thursdays although available on the menu, delicious steaks & fisg & chips. Live Blues music in the Beer Garden Sundays.

The food is first rate, all compliments to the chefs. We had a group of five people and everyone was happy. The problem is you call and make a booking for a Saturday night and when you arrive there is no one to greet you. So you queue behind 10 people at the bar being served by a single person. You ask about the table you booked and told just find a place. Someone is taking the piss - excellent kitchen but only a single overworked bar hand to serve a busy pub.

Nice Restaurant with a very reasonably priced menu. Lots of car racing memorabilia for the rev heads.

Ordered our meals at 7pm.still waiting 1 hour and twenty minutes later.still no meals came out so asked for a refund which we received.

Absolutely superb steak. 2 nights in a row. Lovely vibe. Very nice staff. Didn't stay there, but stayed at Queens Arms.which had fabulous rooms

Had dinner here, the drinks and food are expensive by Tasmanian standards, and the meals are also quite small, there are a lot better places in town

Right, this place. It's in prospect, its pretty sprawling and its straight out of the 90s. It has all manner of entertainment from golf to gambling. This is the place you want to go if for some reason you have money and dont want to use it in an enjoyable way. It has cheap meals that are basically you getting excatly what you pay for and it has more slots than you have money. So just the place to stay awhile if you dont want the money that you have. Personally I like spending it usefully but this is on you.
