Cosy Corner North reviews
33Probably the best campground on this part of the coast as it was a bit more sheltered and had a great little sheltered Cove for swimming when it was windy. Sites and a nice size also
Fantastic free camp. Well designated camping areas. Drop toilets could do with maintenance but generally ok. The beaches are spectacular! We stayed for three nights. We will be back.
Camping right on the ocean with the sound of the waves all night. Beautiful shore with white sands and rocks with an orange coloring on them.
Only long drop toilet here though and bring your own paper.
A great free camp on the bay of fires.
Stayed 2 amazing nights…quiet (beach waves crashing all night) …great sites overlooking beach and toilets located around the area.
Stunning free campsite with beautiful beach and rockpools. Probably the best beach I have come across in Tassie. There is even good fishing snorkelling and speargishing available here and if lucky rock lobsters. Good clean toilets bring your own dunny roll. Gets very busy as is a popular spot but well designated campsites.
Great location for free camping on the beach. Be prepared very basic site, only a drop loo and no running water.
Beautiful beach and great swimming. The walks are magic and the orange rocks magnificent. Camp site is fantastic and toilets clean. Plenty of sites for caravans and dogs on a leash friendly.
Besides the beautiful beach and magnificent rocks, the campground was messy and everyone was parking in a selfish way leaving many without a spot.
Also, many people were living there permanently, keeping the engine on for several hours to electrically feed their appliances, and therefore disturbing tourists. We had to leave after 1 night because they made it hard for us to stay any longer. The site should be preserved more carefully.
We were warned that it gets super buzy here during high season but we found an amazing spot here two seperate nights and there was still plenty of space. Drove the Bay of Fires coast up and down but this was the greates camping and the most beautiful beach of all. Will definitly come back!
The best place free camping, the beach of bay of fires is just stunning. The place has toilets, it is easy to find and plenty of spaces to park your car, campervan, and so on
Great free spot, good toilets and obviously stunning location. Get here early as it's super popular.
Very cosy indeed. Lovely spot for a stay even in winter. Only basic facities & need to take toilet paper. No showers.
An awesome spot, even in Winter. Very sheltered. We are loving our stay here.short drive to St Helens for all your needs. Water, dump point and shopping, less than 15 minutes away.
Top camping spot in the area. Lots of space. 4 hybrid toilets, shade if you need it and much larger then the other camping spots along this stretch. Great fishing spots off the rocks. Excellent spot for shell collectors. Close to St Helens that has everything you need. Cheap petrol just out of town at do-it-yourself place. Stunning beach walks. Free water also just out of town. Laundromat in town. Will keep coming back to this gem.
Beautiful spot. Crowded but not on top of each other. Good toilets BYO paper. Great base to explore the area. Must be fully self contained. Dogs on lead allowed.
Great camp with hybrid toilet.
Beautiful white sandy beaches with orange lichen rocks, familiar with the Bay of Fires area.
Wander down to the beach for a morning dip, rock hop until morning tea, snorkel around the little lagoon, surf your heart out in the corner, rinse and repeat
I have been coming here to camp since I was a child, its super child friendly and quiet, love this place.x
We loved this free campsite! Our advice is to get there early (10 am) to get a nice spot, amazing views, bird watching on afternoon, the stars are beautiful at night and the sunrise is stunning! The only “bad” thing we can see here is the black sand that gets everything dirty but for a free campsite I think that’s not a problem! Drop toilets available and the beach is beautiful
