Comfort Inn The Pier reviews
20A beautiful experience staying here in George Town. Very friendly service and sensational food. Definitely will be coming back again.
A neat and tidy motel in a quiet nice location by the river. The restaurant delivers what you would expect from a typical pub meal. Check in was problematic after an issue with their online system. They sorted it out and our stay was pleasant.
Spent the day in George Town and surrounding areas on vacation. Was a nice place to rest the head after travelling around. Staff were very helpful and welcoming.
Great little hotel. Rooms are not fancy but they are spacious and have everything you need. Bed is comfortable. No tea and coffee but they have a restaurant and you can walk to a number of caffs. Had dinner in their restaurant and the food was sad unless you ordered chicken.
Very disappointed in the lack of maintenance in room #24, compared to our friends room #23.
Bathroom was disgusting. Mould everywhere. Room smelt Very musty. Blanket on bed Very old, smelly and dusty. Carpet Very tattered. Bed Very
uncomfortable.
Came into the bistro to just have a plate of chip when the waitress said is that all you want. She then said it wasn't worth cleaning the table for. Lousy attitude from her. Location it great and bar staff are friendly
Stayed one night. Good size room, very clean, comfy bed, nice view through the window. Good location
Waited over an hour for food to arrive and it wasn't worth the wait. I watched multiple people walk out and ask for refunds.
Stayed here quite a lot, usually stay in a one bedroom unit, brought the granddaughter and decided to book a self contained unit. Very indated, only one working heater, very uncomfortable queen size bed it is as hard as a rock. Not worth $150 dollars a night. Very dissatisfied.
Great location, clean rooms, but one of the rudest managers we have ever had the displeasure to encounter. Andre's attitude was arrogant, dismissive and down right unpleasant. Got me beat why people who are disinterested in customers work in the service industry. Logged a complaint with Choice Hotels rather than having to resort to a review, but when asked, Andre denied his poor behaviour! He would have been a better man if he'd just fessed up and apologised, but that takes a strength of character that clearly not all possess.
The villa was clean and well supplied. Booked for just one night but wanted two.still waiting for the useless manager to ring us back his replacement lady was very apologetic and helpful. Did manage the second night. Honestly that manager who had his dog blocking the reception desk and wandered around with his fly undone.so hubby told me was so scruffy and in bad need of a deodorant totally turned us off. Owners really need to replace this guy.
We stayed in this location back in 2019 December. What a lovely place. Want to visit there again soon.
Booked on line for a balcony suit didn't get it, w bed is hard as a rock might as well as slept on the floor when booked in was told we had water view that's only if we walk out side as cars are parked in front of room, door very hard to open from inside
I went there when I was a bit tipsy and they said they would call the police for the things I was saying, my friend that drove me into town, told me, "you weren't that bad I remember what you said and the way you acted certainly wasn't bad enough to get even the most snowflake Pub to call the police.
Absolutely lovely place clean rooms with beautiful views staff and cleaners very accommodating and friendly hubby and I highly recommend this place
Central yet on the water, near Woolies and comfortable. The Wifi could be worth fixing but staff helped get me connected.
Was great, price good, close to all things to see, just a short walk. Close to water. Loved the rooms
Beautiful decor.great service.friendly.some meals fantastic.cook needs to learn the difference between cooked to death and rare steak.and a few mushrooms thrown into a rich meat sauce DOES NOT equate to mushroom sauce
Well appointed room in a scenic location and very friendly staff. All services with restaurant and bar.
Just popped in for a Coffee and it was Hands down the best coffee I have had in a Week in Tasmania.
