2 It was a great experience to pick fresh walnuts from Coaldale Walnuts Farm. Beautiful farm, fresh and delicious walnuts, and kind staff. It was a perfect family time in beautiful Tasmanian autumn.
Just walking around the walnut trees was peaceful and finding large walnuts from branches was so much fun.
Also we enjoyed the coffee and dessert from a coffee van. Lastly their pickled walnut was so delicious when I tasted it, so purchased a jar and I am enjoying it at home. I will definitely go to the open farm days again!
Beautiful orchard just outside Richmond. We were lucky to get tickets to the Open Farm Day 6 May 2023 to pick our own walnuts. The event was superbly organised and even had hot food and drinks for sale. The fresh walnuts are fabulous, just hope we picked enough to last us until next year!
