The high cheese was bloody excellent. Took my partner here for her birthday, she was stoked.

We arrived a little late even though they were preparing for a function and still accommodated us, very thankful

Pretty hopeless. Cleaned our own table then waited with zero service. Watched people’s meals get cold on the servery. Blocks of chocolate $27. Left having had nothing, bought nothing. Waste of time.

We visited this place today, didn’t dine in but just shopped for some chocolate and enjoyed the views.
Bit overpriced but yummy.
Views are beautiful even on a gray day!
Staff are nice and friendly.
Probably during a sunny day the outdoor area is the best ever!
I recommend the visit

Definitely visit for the chocolate! We went twice for breakfast and both times had wonderful staff and a delicious breakfast.

Cheese was great. We had 7 to enjoy, but their chocolates were the best we had in Tassie. Need to go see them while in Hobart.

Delicious cheese, chocolate and service.
A little pricey but worth it for a treat. Excellent customer service and great atmosphere.
You won't regret a visit to Coal River Farm. If you can't get there, you can buy their cheese at Salamanca Market.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! We visited the factory for high cheese and it was excellent value for money, service was incredible and helpful.the cheese and chocolate was obviously, very good and would go back to try more.plenty of gift options for souvenirs, meals looked very nice and the drinks are mouth watering! Particularly the hot chocolates.would recommend for dates or group functions.it is a stunning view as well.

$19.50 for a tiny toasted ham and Brie sandwich. Most expensive I’ve ever bought. Definitely not worth it.

Amazing service & top quality food. The chocolates are so pretty you almost don't want to eat them. Say hello to the friendly goat

We had a late lunch here that was good but the service from one of the staff members put a bad taste to the experience. We ordered and shared the ploughmans lunch which had too many pickled veggies, Mac n cheese which was very good and the fried honey Brie cheese which was ok. My son had the ham and cheese toastie that he enjoyed.

This place was gorgeous and the staff were amazing. Would highly recommend their cheeky little menu items in which the chef chooses for you.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience! Everything we ate was fresh and beautifully prepared. From the baked Camembert to the sprouts on top of the chicken mignon! The portion sizes were great too - we shared the tiramisu amongst three of us! It’s rare to find a place where they excel at entrees, mains, desserts AND drinks, but Coal River Farm did it all, WITH fantastic service and a beautiful atmosphere.
We can’t wait to come back!

The food at coal river farm was amazing! We stopped here expecting some small cheese tasting (which they didn't have, but they had a ton of cheeses to buy) but got this amazing lunch. We had a pie with garlic feta and mushroom, foccacia with olive oil and balsamic, and this sensational honey crumbed brie. All the food was excellent.

This place was very cool. We spent the afternoon wandering around the fruit trees and seeing the resident goat before watching some chocolate being made and trying some for ourselves. It was a nice place to get a sweet gift for friends and family. The staff were friendly despite being swamped by customers non-stop the whole time we were there and having a function on.

This place is beautiful inside and out. They were crazy busy and kitchen closing when we dropped in, but were nice enough to fit us in for coffee and cake.

Poor slow service.staff got rude and abrupt when asked to serve. Julia and Daniel should not work in hospitality with their attitude. We were there 6 weeks prior and the service was excellent then, different staff, different experience all together, won't be back.

Great farm restaurant serving high cheese. The cheese selection was pretty good, but wish they had more variety of cheeses, like Gouda or more cheddar. The cheeses we did get were delicious. The high cheese also came with chocolates. All of it paired so well with wine. It was a great experience! Definitely recommend. There is also a friendly goat in the yard in a small fenced in area. Go say hello!

Ate lunch here, food was very good. Chocolate & cheeses were expensive with no pre tasting. Nice staff

Perfect location with great coffee, absolutely in love with this place, the cheeses and chocolates are amazing, I will definitely be purchasing from them again, the most delicious Brie cheese I’ve ever tasted.
