Room is great and clean big bed and dark to sleep in shower big and great the staff was great and friendly we definitely stay there again

Lovely staff. Took care of us and the kids. Stopped in for dinner and hadn't booked but they found space for us. Lovely food.

In an era where true customer service is becoming a long lost trade today my faith was restored thank you to a staff member called Bridget.
My partner and I had dined at The Mont once previously and were impressed with the experience. So impressed to dine there once again, this time taking my mother. On this occasion the food was up to the same great standard but part way through my mother had a bad turn due to health issues. A staff member named Bridget stepped up and comforted my mother and went over and above to ensure the comfort of my mother was paramount.
A huge thank you to Bridget for her exceptional customer service and apologies to the other guests. Once again thank you Bridget and thank you to The Mont.

Newly refurbished, service excellent, menu & meals very good, rooms very nice, location good for northern suburbs. Highly recommend.

Recently went and ordered ribs, they were inedible - all bone, no meat, and very over cooked.

Giving 3 stars as our previous experiences at The Claremont have been good. Hoping our next visit isn’t our last!

Food is amazing if you are lucky enough to receive it.

Been twice over the past few weeks and both times our pizzas we ordered to share as starters did not arrive until after mains were finished. I can understand mistakes happen but two visits in a row is no longer an accident.

Hopefully they can work through their timing issues as they would have received 5 stars if not for this.

Went for fathers Birthday lunch, and left full and happy, great service, great food, definitely be back, and the chocolate pudding for dessert was fabulous, a must try.

Very nice and a humble little pub, that has great meals. They have rooms aswell but I k ow nothing about them.

Meal was not hot and one person had a hair in there meal. In my opinion they should have refunded the money charged.

It is typical pub fare, they need to seriously upgrade their menu especialy for vegetarian and vegan diners

Spent a few days here, rooms are small but comfy. Well priced guest laundry. All meals were nice big though. Very affordable, staff were cheerfull

April 2022: I've been to the Claremont Hotel for dinner on several occasions. Usually instigated by friends who live in the area. Location if you live in Claremont is ideal, but not when you live in the inner city, it's a bit of a drive for a meal. This is your stock standard pub, staff are friendly, but you need to queue at the kiosk to order food. Meals are reasonably priced and usually delicious. Sadly this venue has pokies. What would be much nicer is if they removed the pokies and added live music events on the evenings instead (like the Republic Bar and former Brunswick Hotel).

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very ttentive to covid restrictions and cleaning. Was teriffic to see.

Good bar atmosphere.
Pool tables, keno and sports bet.
Good food at great prices and plenty of seating available. Good size outdoor smoking area if that's your thing.
Could benefit from a larger beer selection, but all the old favourites are there.

Poor service. Out of the seafood special but still advertising it. Waitress asked if we were done but walked off without listening to the answer. Wont go back

Good old fashioned pub meals.
Food is how it used to be.
No frills but huge and delicious.
Have pensioner discount.
Dining room is basic and gets crowded, testamont to their cooking.

Food was great, but the alcohol selection was quite poor. There was only one Tasmanian white wine and no spirits. Lots of space and good atmosphere.
