No idea what the person who gave one star is talking about, as my wife and I just purchased a boat from the team, and the service and product was second to none! Boat has no skipped a beat, and the team helped us with all 1000 questions we had.

Highly recommended the team at Channel Marine!

I have dealt with Channel Marine on several occasions and have been very impressed. Alan, Candice, Josh and the team are friendly, honest and very efficient when it comes to handling both sales and follow up service. These people know what they are talking about and are great to do business with.
Highly recommended!

Go in and see the team, only place for mercury in Tassie! They also always support the community and charity through many generous donations! Great local business

Had second hand motor fitted by this rude man. Hooked up cables from centre console to motor “ not under floor” but straight across to side (at 40 cm height) who does this! Sent me away with it with old 2 stroke fuel still hook up. Never test run the motor. Motor stalls on first trip in 1 metre crashing swell. Nearly lost my life and that of my wife son and nephew. One chance and it started but would rev and just managed to idle over the wave. He didn’t want to here what I had to say and was extremely rude over the phone and seemed to actually want a fight! 4th call through and got hold of their mobile mechanic who came and checked it out- he was shocked and ashamed - this guy was unreal and took my boat and fixed everything on his own time and on the weekend. Rrrrrrr so mad

Great service and advice when buying a new boat. Made the process very easy to get on the water.

Where do I start!

Purchased a new Mercury 30 HP EFI and fitted okay.

After 2nd warranty service I found a steel pin punch under the seat in an aluminium boat. Hmmm!

Another warranty service I took it for a run and checked the oil when I got back, oil just touches bottom of dipstick.

Another service, take boat for a run and put away, find oil dripping out of prop next time I move it. Find water in gearbox. Warranty on poorly fitted internal seal. Remember it has just been service and had 3 hours of mainly trolling on a fresh water lake. Was also missing drain plug washer. Hmmm Again!

Out of warranty, serviced by another marine place to find engine sump plug seal missing and gearbox leg bolt stripped by Channel Marine.

After talking with the dealer they have refunded the recent repair and service and the last warranty service.

Mercury Australia are quietly sitting on their hands.
