Centennial Inn on Bathurst reviews
17 The toilet had a terrible smell, and the smell permeated the entire building.
There was many sudden loud high pitched noises, like steel rubbing against steel, at all times of the day and night. It woke me up in a panic each time.
The room was not properly clean. One of the spoons still had food on it!
The bed was uncomfortable.
Only one sink. The images show a separate sink in the bathroom, that was a lie.
A great place to stay, room was spotless and very little traffic noises.handy with the restaurant down stairs with fabulous food, will certainly stay there again if I need.
Loads of loud noisy stairs
No sink in bathroom
Cracked in kitchen sink
Very low shower head
I was worried about the accommodation but 2 huge rooms sparkling clean. Will be staying again for sure. Value for money
The place is a convenient location but the rooms are small and pathetic. Wash basins are inside the bedroom near the bed. Tends to be a bit noisy being very close to the road. Amazing food downstairs in te restaurant.
Small, basic rooms, but spotlessly clean. Bonus was the bath. Ok for one night, very good value for the money
Very warm room with only a fan, no air conditioning. The shower is in the bath tub next to the toilet. Would be an issue for seniors or anyone with limited leg movement. Extremely tight space between toilet and shower. You might actually need to stand in the bath to shut the door before sitting on the toilet!
Out dated small screen TV, not a smart TV. Double bed, one side hard up against the wall. Very soft mattress decent pillows. Noisy room, lots of door banging and road noise. Price at booking not the same as quoted on booking.com For $119 a night it's over priced. Meals at Steve's grill were tasty however pricey at $34 for a parma. Stay a couple of blocks closer to Brisbane mall. No contact whatsoever with hotel staff. Stayed for 2 nights
Great old classic pub rooms, Clean and quiet. Have comfy beds and everything you need, including an opening window and a fan!
I was needing a quiet place to have a good nights sleep and my goal in finding somewhere to rest up for Christmas day was accomplished!
Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Our room was very comfy although a little noisy as it is on the road but it wasn't too bad. Food in the resturant was very nice and good sized portions. This is very close to the wonderful gorge too.
Super compact room. Bed was ok and enough for 2 adults. Room has heater. Washbasin is in the room itself and not in bathroom. Bathroom has got bathtub. Very close to Woolies.
Scotch fillet was stringy and mushroom sauce didn’t taste like it had mushrooms in it despite the mushrooms floating in it. Veggies were bland and dry. The pumpkin had what looked like foam dried to the outside of the skin. All over very disappointing meal and won’t be back again. And I’m not fussy.
Prices were misquoted between online and booking. Staff a bit abrupt. A Twin Room was requested - front of building noisy and poor light blocking.
Great rooms. Arrived on a public holiday in aTassie and owner came down at 5pm to check us in.
Reasonably close to CBD. Very clean and well kept
Great steak. Not what I expected from the outside but the food was top notch and the waitress was lovely.
Steve's Grill lives inside this nice little suburban hotel, and I have to say it was the best steak I have had for many a year! Highly recommended!
