Castle Hotel reviews
29Friendly staff. Fisherman's basket was absolutely amazing, especially the garlic sauce with prawns! The pub is historic and looks fantastic. Great find on our way to Launceston.
The Castle Hptel was amazing, the staff and food were like walking into home after a long day at work. Friendly, hospitable and very obliging. The town of Bothwell is steeped in history and the Cathedral is amazing.
We came for pizza night. They took our order and then ran out of food and had to refund us. In the meantime, they were prioritising serving the local clientele. We have never experienced this before and we were not happy. There is not many food options in Bothwell so I would recommend buying at the grocery store or even the local woolies in Deloraine or New Norfolk (if you are coming from that way). I hate to give a bad review to any place but the service we received here was horrible. Worst experience of our trip to tassie.
Beautiful old pub dating from 1829. Enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Castle Hotel following a scenic drive from Westerway. Venison Pie was absolutely delicious. All meals coming out from kitchen looked lovely. Bar staff friendly. Would definitely return.
Stopped for a meal. They have a diverse menu and quality of the food was fantastic. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. What a great find on our drive to Launceston. I’ll be going out of my way to come back to try some more of the great food! Thanks for a great pub experience
Loved the food.bar and eating area all look a bit in need of some investment. In fact entire building needs some major TLC. Bedroom was clean but window rotting away and piece of wood needed to keep it open. Shower leaked from under door. TV was a classic analogue.the oddest thing though was a deflated sex doll hanging on old sign in front of pub
Was just here to get a good tasting burger with onions that was out the front on my way past to ride in the 40th tasmanian toy run
The food is excellent, friendly staff. Will definitely eat here again before we head back to Michigan
