Castaway Holiday Apartments

I was thoroughly impressed when staying at Castaway with my family in December 23. Management was lovely, the rooms were immaculate and the location with Strahan was within walking distance of everything. Highly recommended.

Great apartment, definitely feels like home away from home. Everything is in the apartment that you could want it is extremely clean. Very comfortable and could have stayed longer than two nights. Owners are super helpful and friendly.

The accommodation was very spacious. The rooms were well set up and the place was very warm. The lounge and dining area helped. We were able to do our washing and the owners were very helpful

What a lovely place to stay. It was very clean inside and out. The 2 bedroom apartment was a great size and had everything you needed. There was a BBQ area that we didn't use but it's there if you need it. It has a guest laundry that has 1 washing machine and a dryer that i did use it was nice to be able to do some washing after travelling. It was $3 per machine but a $1 from each machine is donated to the guide dog's tasmania so i was happy to pay it. Staff are very friendly. I would recommend this accommodation to people.

A lovely local place to stay the night in a 2 bedroom apartment for 4 adults. The owners were lovely to accommodate us arriving quite late after a day of exploring Tassie. Strahan is a quiet sleepy coastal town so make use of the fully equipped kitchen or be sure to arrive and dine before everything closes by 8pm sharp. It was thoughtful of the owner to run the heater ahead of our arrival so the apartment was warm and toasty on our arrival. Roomy, spacious and clean - would recommend.

Nice little accommodation but our room was close to the road which happened to be a busy road in Strachan, even until 9pm on a week day!

Absolutely fantastic value for money. Staff are incredibly helpful and we highly recommend staying here. The two bedroom apartment has everything you need and more. Comfortable beds, a full kitchen and a large living area. Located just down the road from IGA and just up the hill from the water/town centre, it's likely the best spot to stay in Strahan.

We loved our 2 bedroom apartment with full kitchen. 32 inch TV, full size fridge freezer. A three minute walk to the local IGA supermarket, and a few extra minutes to the centre of Strahan with it's shops, restaurants and the river cruise terminals.

Had everything we needed and more, accommodating our special requests. Friendly service, comfortable and convenient.

It's a 5 min walk to the city centre & harbour & just around the corner from the IGA. The hosts, Jim & Bev, are so friendly & helpful with information. We would definitely stay here again!

Very clean, comfy 2 bdrm unit with full kitchen, heater & electric blankets. Quiet, short walk to town, close to supermarket. Jim the host was very friendly and gave great tips for places to visit in Strahan & on our way to Stanley (all were excellent stops). I was able to swap a book I finished with a book in reception.

The owners were super lovely and gave us a full run down on what to do in town, rooms were super clean and felt very homey, bed was comfy.could not recommend the owners and the room high enough highly recommend.

We had the privilege of spending time at the Castaway Holiday Apartments but alas not enough time. Clean and comfortable with everything you need these apartments are great. Wonderful hosts made the stay even more memorable. Loved the electric blankets to take the chill off before having the best night sleep in a while.

Very nice and comfortable cottages, we stayed in the 2 bed cottage for 2 nights and was impressed in the cleanliness and how well appointed the place is. Owner was very friendly and helpfull in pointing out places to visit and the location of the cottages is only 2 minute walk to local supermarket and only 5 mins walk to the ferry wharf / centre of town.
Would stay again and fully reccomended.

Lovely place, near to the IGA, local attraction and cruises. 2 bedroom, well appointed kitchen, BBQ area all in all great place to call home when your in Strahan

Great hosts and nice large rooms. Handy location to the IGA up the road. Wifi had good speeds and was reliable, unlike a lot of other places.

Lovely spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Great kitchen and lounge, everything we need for a few days in Strahan.

Absolutely fabulous, owners couldn't do enough to support my disabled father. Everything was clean and tidy and the beds were fabulous.
