Great atmosphere. The food was delicious with very generous portions. Lovely staff, you better book though as it is busy.

A not so hidden treasure. In that it is a stand-out building but I was not expecting the stand-out meal.

Attended a Christmas in July luncheon, delicious 3 course meal at extremely reasonable price. All meals were served hot and fast, by pleasant, professional staff. Tasmanian wine list prices were very reasonable at $9.00 per glass, and beers at $5.50. Would definitely dine here again, and highly recommend same to anyone.

5 out of 5 for food and atmosphere. Make sure you book though because everyone else knows how good the food is too. We have been here quite a few times now. The pub grub is outstanding! More like restaurant quality food. Once we shared a dish and they split it for us and brought out on 2 plates. Now that is great service! Staff always have a smile. There's an open fireplace in the pub area and a closed one in the dining area. They have a pool table and plenty of parking down the side and out the back. There is a Thirsty Camel out the back for take aways.

Visiting an old country pub on a cold rainy night is a nice Tasmanian experience. I ordered a braised lamb shank with seasonal vegetables and enjoyed it very much. The service was casual and friendly.

Had a wonderful evening and a couple of afternoons of beers at this place. Went all out on the evening dinner and both I and my mate thought the food was awesome. It's reasonably priced, the staff are happy to have a yarn with you if you want. Can't wait to call in again.

Our North sports car club arrived for lunch with 8 members after a run from Ulverstone. Welcomed and seated in the covered outdoor dining section we enjoyed drinks while lunch was prepared. A cut above normal pub food and everyone pleased with their choices. We will definately be returning.

This was an unexpected gem we visited for a Sunday lunch. Very generous serves and fresh, tasty food at reasonable prices from a wide ranging menu, all accompanied by warm, friendly service and a ready smile. Very family friendly with a spacious dining room. Recommend a visit.

Had the King island steak, salad and chips for lunch and it was one of the best meals i have had in a long time. Well worth the trip out to Carrick.

Friendly, obliging & courteous staff, the twice cooked pork belly was to die for & the veggies were super fresh & cooked just right. Compliments to the chef.

My first time there and indeed a treat. Wonderful service, great variety of food to choose from. Warm and inviting fireplace. We will defo return. Food was real good as well.
