Cape Bernier Vineyard reviews
14Beautiful place! Cozy and elegant as well. Windy was super professional and the wines are excellent!
Warm white wine served, cold and very dry bbq food, recently increased and way overpriced local oysters, inattentive staff and poor service, uncleared tables, dogs fighting and barking everywhere while the owners sit and enjoy themselves with friends.
Many items on drinks list not available also.
Was a regular local spot for several years now but you have lost us after this experince Sunday, especially with a change in management and new places opening soon, who I am sure will appreciate local support more.
Will be surprised if this review is not deleted as previous reviews have been, by others experiencing similar issues and who honestly review.
The place was busy on Sunday however these issues have also been experienced recently when not many there also.
Yes you have a great view and outlook, but there is more to this to running a business and looking after your customers, especially locals.
Very disappointing.

Edited to respond to owner.
My intention to hurt you with the review? Excuse me?
The review was to give true feedback on a terrible experience which when you pay for a service and experience and it is underwhelming, you should be able to view this.
That is and was my only intention.
I understand staffing concerns and price rises, and we always support Blue Lagoon.
Amazing little winery! It was really worth a visit. We even made it here in our 4 birth RV motorhome. We were impressed with the wines. Sav Blanc especially surprised us, as we don't usually like Sav Blancs, that one has a very unique pallete
Loved the Wild Chardonnay and Reserve Pinot Noir. 2018 Chardonnay was very good, too.
Special thank you to Wendy, who did our tasting, very attentive to customers, but most importantly, passionate and knowledgeable about the wine industry. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
What a wonderful experience at Cape Bernier's. A warm greeting followed by great food, wine and environment.
A special treat was feeding the pigs - even if the were shy. Highly recommend Cape Bernier
Had a lovely lunch and wine tasting. Service was fantastic and came away with a few bottles to take home. New Years Day Pig & Pinot sounds great and we will be sure to try that next year.
An absolute gem! Gorgeous vista, fabulous wine, great food and brilliantly warm service. Can't wait to return.
Wonderful corner of tas with magnificent vistas equalled by the country ambience, fantastic winesn and lovely platters.
An absolute gem, we arrived 15 mins before closing and we’re treated like we had hours to spare, they didn’t rush us at all, went above and beyond in explaining and exploring the wines. Will 100% be back
Absolutely loved our experience here, the wine was beautiful and the view is amazing, the platter was so amazing, I love how much attention to detail and how they show a personal touch when dealing with their customers.
Highly recommend visiting!
A small but great vineyard to visit. I went to Cape Bernier on an off-peak-season Saturday and really enjoy the wine tasting experience. I was greeted by Ellie, who knows the wines quite well. If you like a quiet, peaceful atmosphere and away from the main road, this is a place to go for.
I will be back for a Sunday live music session.
It seems a bit isolated but that's part of the charm. I had a tasting with a very knowledgeable person telling me about the wines. Their wines are well crafted and if you're lucky you'll be there for an afternoon of music and a bbq. Well worth a visit.
Unfortunately staff kept their backs to us and after 10 minutes of not even being acknowledged or greeted we gave up and went to another winery.
Beautiful place with stunning views. Delicious wine, their Pinot Gris is to die for! Definitely worth visiting.
We made it there right before closing time, yet nice lady, who was working there over 15 years, hang around with us for little while. She was super friendly and had excellent knowledge about area, told us many interesting facts and was just so lovely to talk to.
