Was looking for somewhere to eat on the way back from Hobart that wasn’t too far out and came across this little pub, Meals exceeding all our expectations, was presented well and the food was divine, amazing food and service! Will be back next time we are up this way!
Fabulous meals and wonderful service by Hosts Kat and Clayton. What a great little pub. We were staying at Ross but cancelled when dinner wasn't available. What a great find!
Meals were fantastic- highly recommend the pork ribs!
The wife and I, went to the bakery a part of the hotel building, delicious chicken and Camembert pies, and fruit buns, the staff very friendly and helpful, we would recommend a visit
Great room. All new. Good shower. Electric blanket! Good heating. Very clean. Fantastic meal. Highly recommended.
One of the best pub meals I have had. The Lamb shanks were amazing. The rooms were great, best was the staff they were so welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back.
Great food and great service
Will be going back again
A cosy place to enjoy a lunch
We were fortunate to visit this little country paradise. This little hidden gem looks like a run down establishment but the quality of its food and friendly service makes up for its appearance. We ordered pork sausages and lasagne, which were accompanied by fresh vegetables and salad. We were treated to a taste of good, solid home cooking.
Thank you Clayton and Vanessa for looking after us, the rooms were warm and comfortable and the food was great.lovely to see all the old locals are back in the pub, loved catching up with them all. George and Suellen Baker
Certainly did not live up to the recent glowing reviews. Ordered flounder, chips and salad. The fish clearly came out of a cheap low grade frozen supermarket packet. It was thinner than a finger nail and tasted as such. The salad had a blob of tangy mayonnaise stuck on top. The slice of lemon couldn't be any smaller and the chips were dry and missing most of the potato inside. Both my husband and I were very disappointed and won't be back.
Great local pub for a drink. Friendly staff, a nice country feel, flat access with toilets available, keno and pokies available.
Had a lovely dinner at the Hotel. Central location and very friendly staff, who opened the kitchen early for us hungry travellers. The food was delicious- would highly recommend the chicken parmi!
Hotel room clean.tidy.fresh and in a top location for attendance at ANZAC Day services in town.thank you for your hospitality.and Zeps
Called in for a meal on way home from Hobart and found it was great a long with friendliest service and eager to help in anyway they can
Room adequate but horrendously noisy with huge trucks and trains going thru all night. Don't expect to get any decent sleep.
Dinner surprisingly good tho and staff very friendly
My word I can’t say enough about the new owners Vanessa and Clayton. The smallest things have made such a big difference and I cannot praise the pair and the team they’ve got enough. Would now recommend the Campbell Town Pub to anybody passing through it. The food is sensational, the staff is immaculate and it’s one of my favourite places. 10/10
The motel rooms that look so tiny online and outside are deep so larger than you expect. They have new kitchenettes, good sized modern shower rooms, and comfortable beds. We were on a fundraising cycling tour and the staff couldn't have been more helpful nor more friendly. They even waved our donation tin under all the patron' s noses and we received some wonderful donations for Parkinson's research. If you are there on a Wednesday night beware - the garbage truck comes along the lane right outside the motel room doors in the small hours, and proceeds to pickup and drop (one quite well!) some huge metal bins located in the lane. If you order the vegetable lasagne I'd advise you get a half serve - they were huge, but perhaps I got a quadruple serve as I looked like I'd ridden 150kms (which I had) and I would strongly suggest you ask for no extra sauce on top. A flood of 2 types of sweet white sauces were added to my dish (on both the lasagne and the accompanying veg) These are VERY unusual, and definitely not my cup of tea. At least 4 staff members popped by our table just to have a chat, they were truly outstanding!
What a find, stopped to see the Red bridge and decided to stop into the Campbell Town pub for lunch. So great to walk into a pub and be greeted instantly. A privilege to meet the new owner and his friendly staff. The food was fantastic. A great country pub. Please call in and give them your support.
The owner was very accommodating and friendly as soon as we walked in. Food was great, well above average for your standard hotel. Good times.
