Beautiful Serenity. This property is ideal for those wanting to get away from it all in a beautiful setting & in complete comfort. All amenities provided in an environmentally sustainable manner. The views are gorgeous & sitting in outdoor bath under star filled sky is something extra special.

I booked, but couldn't stay due to a requirement to quarantine. I politely requested a refund, due to these extenuating circumstances and Paul made the below offers, which I found quite outrageous.

I'm sure the place is lovely, but I felt the need to share my experience.

Offer One:
Whatever we can resell for, we will refund to you minus $10 per communication (so far my records show 4 communications so currently minus $40), with a maximum refund of what we receive form AirBnB. You will need to contact us AFTER your original booked checkout date to enquire what resold and what refund we might issue. You might get lucky if we resell lots of your booked nights, or you might not. I can't offer guidance on that. It is a decision for you to make.

Offer Two:
We will immediately issue a 50% value $? (minus $10 per communication) off peak (not valid Dec 24 to 1 Feb) credit for future use.

Wow! Surrounded by bushland. Mountains with snow peaks. Serene and stunning. The place is beautiful, clean, eco friendly with a gorgeous fire. Absolutely love it.

This is a truly beautiful place to stay, though regrettably only for one night on this trip. The tranquility and ambience cannot be overstated. The owner was extremely helpful and generous in the process of booking and arrival. Thoroughly recommend staying here to get away from it all & unwind. The only recommendation would be to ensure you stay a while longer than one night, you'll understand why when you do.

A great place to gain perspective. Buttongrass is a well run, clean and tidy house, set in a beautiful location. We were able to relax and enjoy the wide views. Hastings Caves nearby were great value, and the area south was fun to explore.

Ah the serenity. Dramatic scenery, wonderfully presented ecocabin, great little kitchen and comfortable furniture. Perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet and listen to lots of birds. Take all of your own supplies- which is fine.

As the southernmost accommodation in Tasmania, it is quite a drive to get here. But it is worth the effort. Near Hastings caves and Ida Bay Railway and Cockle Creek there is lots to do and see. Nice 2 bedroom house with eco facilities and a bath outside on the deck with views of the mountains. I even saw an eagle souring on the thermals from the Buttongrass plain.
