This is the best most friendly practice I have attended, I have been a patient here for almost 12 years. The doctors are fantastic, caring and professional, the nurses are the best. Reception staff are the fantastic, they work with a lots of pressure in this busy practice, however they maintain a friendly helpful and professional manner in their dealings will the patients and other public members who walk into the practice.
I have never been happier with a GP practice as I am with Burnie General practice. Thank you to everyone

After denying a blood test multiple times I was forced to take one that they made me pay for whilst never sending me the bill and got a random call from the credit union asking to pay for a bill I had never received in the mail. Not only did they never send me a bill but the blood test was for something I had already been tested for the day before I went in by a specialist for the doctor to tell me the specialist was incorrect and that I must stop taking my medication. I went to another doctor after hearing this knowing he couldn't be right and found that the problem I was facing was extremely simple to figure out and never needed a blood test to be able to figure out. I have tried to complain about this to them multiple times for over a year and never once have they let me. I get passed from person to person to continually be told the manager needs to do this and they aren't in today.

My husband and I have been here for a couple of times, no issues so far. I will stick with this clinic and dr Alex Yu Kwan. The doctor has a patience to listen to his patients.

Very unfair and unethical practices. Came to ask for a specific travel vaccination, which they didn't have in stock. Which I should have been notified about by reception when I was inquiring about it. The "doctor" took his time calling reception asking if they have it, and started calling pharmacies without telling us that this will affect our bill. Ended up with a $100 bill, and no vaccine.

Avoid at any cost.

Used to be a half decent clinic but has gone down the drain. Might be 1 or 2 good doctors there worth seeing, the rest are certainly not, specially when they aren't a bulk billing clinic.
Needed a referral for a scan for an injury for which the appointment should have taken 5 minutes. Was billed $70 because the doctor didn't seem to think my injury was serious enough (shattered throat cartilage, problems speaking, swallowing etc) and spent 20 minutes googling throat anatomy and deciding what scan was best.
Left with a referral for an ultra sound because he still couldn't decide, where an MRI would have been far more suitable.

Just got hung up on multiple times calling to find out results which they were supposed to call me about 2 days ago! No, please hold, no please call back later, just hung up on!

It can also take weeks to get an appointment even if they are your only source of care for a critical condition. STAY AWAY!

Won't go back doc can't even call with test results after I called twice to get them an was told doctor will call a 3: 15 yeah right

Getting blood result is so hard you can wait day they say they are going to get back to you but they dont.when medications rely on these blood results it needs to be to be delivered quick. As they are lectronic these days there should be no delay. The practice needs to pick up it game sick of hearing how busy they are so is my sons nurologist in melbourne who is waiting for the results.

Did not have pathology test done in your practice it was done at pathology and the average time is 24 hours and you can use covid as an excuse but we in tasmania have been covid free for 3 months so thats an old excuse.i have always rang for this blood test for the last 20 years what has changed now.

Terrible experience here as the double charged fee. Just want to take HPV injection, see the doctor and pay the doctor’s fee and get the prescription. I come for the first injection another day, charged for doctor’s fee again and also nurse’s fee. The first time hear about nurse’s fee and also the repeating fee. I could understand nurse’s fee because it really does something. But for the repeating doctor’s fee, ridiculous. This is just like a corrupt clinic. The doctor is not professional at all, he doesn’t even know HPV injections should take 3 times, me the patient tells him, or maybe he should pay me fee

I made a 10.15 appointment two weeks ago for my 3 year old autistic son.l arrived at 10 am. We stood around waiting until 11.20, all these geriatrics walking in ahead of us who had just arrived. At 11.20, still not seen we had to leave. Bloody disgraceful.

Left this doctors because the last doctor I saw said I should try becoming Christian to fix my anxiety problems. He had a draw full of church booklets that he was handing out. Dr Cushion (prob wrong spelling) used to be good but he's gone. A few weeks ago I got a spam sms from them advertising the flu shots. Not professional enough for my liking.

After our first consult i was impressed with the attention to detail to review our files and search for an answer, they didnt fob us off with needless prescriptions. I changed my whole family to this doctors surgery.
